doggie, for victoria day long weekend, all three days, i am packing and packing my stuff like a slave. i move to my mom's place on tuesday, and will move to new home in september.

ckkwkl, where is yr new home? why you need to move to your mom's place? I thought you have your own house? you sold it and buy a new one?

I am fine, shopping during the long weekend, and do the set up of the combination unit, book case.. and eventually unpack 5 boxes of my shipments and put them on the shelf.. still have another 5-6 boxes need to do..

Ikea will have major sales on Jun 12, will try to buy some other stuff there to tidy up my house.

I went to a retreat near Belleville. It was nice and quiet even though the weather wasn't that good, but we still saw some sunshine occassionally. Looking forward to the Canada Day long weekend!

Elly, your girl's chinese name is exactly the same as my goddaughter (with diff last name).. but she is so skinny age 10 but weight only 65 lbs.

ckkwkl, not sure if all Ikea have the sales on the same day. 6/12 is for the one in Don Mills/sheppard. but I guess will be very crowded on that day.. will check out if the one in Hwy 7 have sales on the same day. keep you posted.

I'm in Calgary too and delivered at the foothills 2 times. no, they will not discharge in 24 hours. unless that's what you want. for my first, my son is perfectly healthy and good weights, I stayed for 2 nites 3 days.
and for my girl, she was early and barely 5 lbs when she left the hospital. and i stayed the same amout of time. for both times, I'm sure they'll let me stay for a bit longer if i requested... because both times i asked to leave.... hehe

Dear Toronto moms,
I just had a visit to Toronto, very nice weather, some changes compared to 3 yrs ago. Last time I went was 3 years ago. I have a friend who just has a baby girl, she is looking for a pediatrician (preferably Chinese), any good ones recommend?

Actually I was in Toronto last week and now I've been back to HK already. Last week was nice too, we went to Niagara falls during weekend.
BTW, do you know any good pediatrician in Toronto (preferably Chinese)? Thx.

Hi Wynne, nice to meet u~~my daughter Natalie arrived on May 25th in foothills hospital and I only stay there for 30hrs. I guess next time I will choose rockyview instead coz foothills is way too busy and they discharge ppl aftedr 24hrs(too many newborn). also they don't let ur partner to stay over night with u, that's make me feel sad!

did you watch the game last night, Flames cannot get the Cup for Canada, but they really played hard for the game.

1. my doctor does not take new patient.
2. I don't have any kid..

but what I could do is to check out with my godchildren to see which doctor they go for and give you the details.

calgary, thanks~~i am doing both, breastfeed and formula coz she is a quick drinker!so i have to pump the breastmilk 3 times a day and the feed her formula is well. i try to rest during the day but of course not as good as night time and natalie eat alot.....i guess is normal~~
i watched game 7...well, i think they tried their best and hopefully they will get the cup next yr coz they r good player,right?

cc008 - do you have to 'sit moon' & follow Chinese tradition culture, not to wash hair or shower, cos in the hospital, the 1st time after the baby was born, the nurse told you to take a shower. I did not follow Chinese culture, because no old people around when my son was born, so i can do whatever i like.

Yoyomom, my 20-month old son has been joining preschool classes organized by City of Toronto:

He enjoys them a lot. There are all types of excellent program and INEXPENSIVE. Depending on the activity you choose, there are programs suitable for babies as young as 6-months. Have you checked them out yet? There are usually more program choices in Fall and Spring sessions.
