Hi Almaly,

Is there any meaning in your 'net name Almaly'? I revised the previous pages and know your boy is a chinese +spainish mix. It seems he looks like Chinese more, what do you think? Are you planning to go back to work? I am a full time mum, so I have not been working for 7 years already (since the birth of my daughter.) I don't think anyone would like to employ me anymore! What are you doing for work? 11 months old baby is quite demanding sometimes, surely you must have a hard time! But they all grow very quick, then we all grow old! Is there any plan for another one?

As for your pumkin, will it be like it is hard outside but it is actually ready to eat inside? How will you cook it? making soup?

Oh yes, exam at chinese school. I think the chinese they teach is quite difficult. The need to count the strokes in each characters and needs to know the correct order of strokes. To me, if Kiyomi can write chinese properly and correctly, it is enough. I don't care how she writes it. The highest level at the chinese school is A-level but I don't expect her to reach that high level.

Maybe you can teach chinese to the twins yourself.

haha...good question! Alma is my spanish name & LY is my middle name.
Many mamas here said my boy looks more Chinese ~ he is more '鬼' when he was born. Some of my HK friends said he has very fair skin and in that respect, he is more like his dad. My hubby has dark brown hair & eye, so I guess this is closer to Chinese hence Carlos looks Chinese. I don't know anymore as I am with him for too long already.
I finished my 9-month maternity and was back to work in Sep. I work PT (3 mornings and 2 evenings) at a university library. I'm not young la so can't have another baby ~ 分分鈡老過哂你地呀

,生得出都冇力揍lu and hubby says no as well ~ but I do worry Carlos would be lonely when he grows up...
Here in the UK, age is not an issue when it comes to finding jobs, esp in the gov't, council or education institutions, as they have to be 'diversified' & be an 'equal opportunity' employer ma ~ you must try la & there's nothing to lose geh...
Re the pumpkin, I want to make a mash to give to Carlos as he has too much veg leaf and I want him to try something different.
Got to go...time to get ready 粥仔 for Carlos now.

Oh, I'm lucky then...we have 2 in town and they are 15 mins from where I live. Reasonable stock...can even buy 雞尾包on friday . And we go to the ones in Birmingham when we fancy a day out!

u don't have to wait ga
they are hard like a stone no matter how long u wait.

I will cut into piece (keep the skin as too hard to remove the skin) and put into oven until its soft and remove the "meat" to make soup.(u need to add some oil on the pumpkin before put into oven to avoid it getting too dry,
if for yr son, I think u can use water rather than oil if u don't want his food to have too much oil

hi all

my boy was crying more since last night. he keep on put his hand into his mouth while crying. am thinking if he is teething.. how can I know if this is the case? and if this is the case, is there anything to do to improve his uncomfort?

also he seems a bit "heaty" after having formula and I try to give him some water but he wouldn;t not take it/ is there anything I should give him to make him less heaty???

If he is teething, you can see a little white on his gum.......you can buy calgel and put it on his gum where is teething, and buy a toy fot him bite, but you need to put it in the fridge, if he doesn't use it................do you decide to give him a dummy??

You can buy Calgel in Tesco, Boots or any supermarket and Pharmacy.....

How is your boy now? Gabriel is a nice name. Is your husband chinese? Teething at 4 months is quite early I would think. If he is teething, you can put on some teething gel on his gum. And let him chew some chilly thing like teething ring to make him feel better. Apart from that, I can't think of any which you can do. If he is teething, you can put a finger to his gum to feel if there is a tooth coming out. If you can't feel any tooth, he may not be teething?!

Do you used to give him water to drink? A lot of babies do not like water if they don't used to drink it. If you insist to let him drink water, try to use a spoon to feed him. So he has no choice when the water gets into his mouth but just drink it.

You are lucky to have a part time job. What are you doing? Do u need child care when you go to work?

Do you always use the name Alma? Or you have another English name? Do you speak Spanish then? Do you think Carlos will speak 3 languages when he grows up?

Have you cooked your pumpin yet? I guess your pumkin is ready to eat. Cut it and see how it looks like. Do you cook chinese food at home or cook spanish?

What time do u finish work if you work in the evenings? Which uni do you work? You are lucky to have a part time job. If my boy starts full day school next year, I would like to have a part time job which fits in with school hours, too. When I said no one would like to employ me anymore, I mean I have not been working for 7 years, it seems a very long time. If I am a boss, I would not like to employ someone who has not been working for so long as she may not used to the working environment again. Hey don't mention age, it makes me sad!
