I think it's confusing as to what kind of rashes the babies have. Just like this time...Natalie had fever for 2 days and then came out with some pink dots on her legs and tummy. Her doctor said they are not "rose rashes"...just regular viral infection... ?-( ?-( ?-( But from what I know, not all babies will get the rose rash

Thanks.. ^o^ We did not expect that we will have interview this soon, so this is really a surprise for us ^o^

Also, I had another interview today, they offer about US$35/hours, and only work 37.5 hours per week as a full time. They also offer me 18 credits studies point for free every year.. that is so attractive for me.. I can save a lot of money on my further studies. We found a college student, she is a baby sister, also has her 'working experience' offered by her college in the hospital I plan to work for.. she will be Amanda's part time baby sister. Hospital also offer Amanda a seat in hospital medical officers' nursery.. ^o^ so I don't need to worry about her when I am working.

It must be nice to have a nursery at work

...then you can check on Amanda during your break time. I think getting a babysitter for her is also nice...then you don't have to have someone live in your house and can have the privacy with your husband :-P

Yeah!!! Seems this is the best /perfect solution for me ^o^..
As I am the kind of person --> Always want to make/do every thing perfect.. so I don't like to ask ppl to do things for me, I would like to do thing by myself.. like wash adult clothes every 4 days, and wash Amanda's clothes every 3 days, I have too many rules at home.. so it is really hard to expect a live in baby sitter to meet my needs.
Amanda is much happier since Mei Yee left our house.. She is happy and open.. ^o^
All job interview asked me for the immunication record book.. which my mom throw that away when I went for my university studies.. what a pity...

and this day.. I need to do all the blood test and some vaccinations... *sigh*

sorry i lost whalebb and natmama's numbers. i remember i brought them w me in my wallet but now just couldn't find them.
i am free during weekdays from 12-5pm. let me know when you guys wanna have gathering.
i do not come to BK that offten now since i have to watch ryan 24/7.. sigh.. i miss ryan's daddy very much... esp when i was so bz watching ryan/ doing laundry.. now i have to do everything myself.

I was the same as you. When we had the nanny, I still wanted to take care of Natalie myself...I have a problem with trusting people.

Maybe you can check with your former HK employer...maybe they still have copy of your immunization records. Even your college might have it too...too painful to redo them.

thanks for yr concerns.

when sean started to hv fever (from 103-104 F) last Wed, we've brought him to the doctor. the doctor has checked for common infections such as sore throat, ears, eyes, and urine, etc. also, he has listened to his lungs and heart, looked at his body, etc. since he's found nothing wrong and the fever has gone after taken Motrin, he just conclued that it's just viral. then, he just had low-grade fever on Thurs and Fri, and then coughed on Sat. and Sun. so, i just assumed that he got flu (as the book said some kind of flu started w/ fever but w/ no other flu symptoms).
on Mon., i thought he has completely recovered, but then i realized that he had a fever of 102.5 F again. but after i gave him Motrin once and Tylenol once, his fever was gone again Tue. morning. Last night, he started to hv stuffy nose. I’m not sure if that’s becoz I underdressed him Tue night or that’s related to the fever. i really hv no idea of what's going on, hope he'll be doing fine. now i just keep observing and keeping track of his temperature. if there's something wrong, i'll bring him to the doctor again.

Congratulations! So, when’re u going to work? Wow, the pay of nurses seem to be nice – as competitive as that of computer engineers! But good thing is that they hv child-care service at the hospital as well. Do u hv to pay for that?
Not so many companies in bay area here offered child-care service at work. Even if they do, usually the employees hv to pay for that (abt $800-900/month, but still cheaper than the others outside).

Anyway, so happy for u!

Btw, my friend’s amino test result has come out earlier than expected. Thanks God! It’s confirmed that the baby is very healthy. However, they hv to find out why the AFP result number being so high. There’s possibility that something’s wrong w/ the mother’s liver or kidney.

and thank you for all the great pictures. Yes, babies are growing very fast, especially with more than 1 kid, seems never have enough time everyday for myself.

Anyone joined the Gymboree class before? Is it good? Any recommendation? I'm thinking to take my girl to playgroup after I return back from the HK trip. I'm getting excited to see my family and friends soon, I hope my 2 monkies will behave good in the plane otherwise i'll go crazy la

Definately, something wrong with Sean.. that is no way for virus infection continue more than a week, that is not normal. I would suggest you to bring Sean back and visit his pedi..
About the nursery, I don't know that how much I should pay for.. as they keep a seat for Amanda this moment, and the nursery still wait for the government authorization.
If the AFP is very high, something relate to her liver function, let her OB/GYN deal with it.. Thanks god that she is doing fine.. ^o^ Also, did the doctor said that she is having a child or multiple??

Amanda really loves and enjoys the period when she was in Gymboree.. they got big room for infant to crawl/ walk or run around.. ^O^ that is what I love most.. Also, they will change the decoration inside once a while, so the infants/ toddlers feel so refresh.. The sick policy is good too.. I like the facilitater, they are tough ^o^.. no sick kid is allow in class, not even running nose.. in our class at new york Amboy road campus, not even allow to use pacifier or any personal toys.. I like that.. that keeps the play ground clean and no one will lose anything.
Also, because we always went back to hk, and they can just contact the campus in hk, so Amanda can continue her class in hk when we were there.. but one thing is a bit "no good" as they only got 1 campus in hk at Central --> opposite to US embrassy.. not conveinence at all.. because no bus, MTR... nothing... Glad that we will stay in my parents' home in hk side (at close to HKU), so by taxi.. may cost about HK$20-25..
Otherwise, that is cool...
Hey, Gymboree notice that in new york--- all gym Baby has unlimited class this summer... woo....... that is so cool!.. but what a pity, I have to start work at July (may be), so Amanda can't enroll to gymboree...

thanks for yr concerns. sean had fever Mon night only and since then, thanks God that he's doing pretty ok and acts normal so far (touch wood)! if i realized something wrong or fever come back again, i would defintely bring him to the doctor.
he had a bit stuffy nose Wed night. however, he'll fine the next day. so, i suspected he might hv allergy (hayfever or something). but of course, allergy itself shouldn't be related to the fever.

maybe he wanted to draw his dad's attention by running a fever or getting sick?! becoz it happened that he was sick/having fever right before his dad's business trip, but he's fine when his dad came back. believe it or not ... although this is a joke!

actually, he had similar experience before. he had fever in the middle of the night, but fever was gone (after we gave him Tylenol once) when he woke up. also, nothing wrong w/ him.

last night, he even showed off to us by putting on his pants by himself. maybe that's something that he should know by this age or even earlier? but we've never taught him before, so we all gave him a big hand.

u're lucky to find a preschool which still offers potty-training service for the 3-yr-olds. for most of the preschools that i found so far, they all require the 3-yr-olds to be potty-trained before going to school.

is yr older girl wearing pull-up diaper or cotton underpant? i heard that it would be faster to complete potty-training if letting the kid wear the cotton underpant instead, cos s/he would feel more uncomfortable if it's wet. i'm gonna try it for my boy later.
also, from my observation to my friend's kids, it seemed to be that it's harder to potty-train those who're more active. (maybe my boy is one of the examples). even though he knows how to go to the potty, a lot of times he tries to run away from u.

if yr girl doesn't wanna pee-pee in her potty/toilet, maybe the pee pee won't make her feel too uncomfortable in her pull-up/underpant (but poop poop would be more uncomfortable for her instead). that's just my guessing.

i think i'm too lazy to enforce him to go potty on schedule. we think we need to "add oil"! maybe we should read the notes of potty-training written by nillie.

btw, going to HK in July would be way too hot. u might wanna reconsider it if that's another choice!

regarding to my friend, she's having singleton only. we know that the AFP number would be much higher if carrying twins. that's why my another friend who's having twins would rather skip the AFP test. cos she knows it's inaccurate and she would keep them anyway.

thanks for yr note of "having viral infection continue for more than a week is not normal". actually he first fever started last Wed and the last one started Mon night and ended on Tue. so, it's still within a week. it made me feel a little "peaceful". but again as u said, if the fever comes back again or something wrong next week, i would defintely bring him to the doctor.
