The article I read didn't tell in details. What he said is we should begin stimulating the baby as early as we can but go to school as late as possible.
I think one of the disadvantages of going to school too early is: Babies don't know what's right or wrong. They may learn bad habits from each other quickly and easily. Even though there are teachers around, it's incapable for them to give close supervision and nurturing to kids.
I do believe when there are circumstances that kids will fight for toys, e.g. They may hurt each other and encourage violent behaviour. And I don't know if those teacher by that time can handle in the most positive way to let kids learn.
However, I also can see there are also good points to have kids go to school earlier. That's why I can't make up my mind.
One thing more certain is if I am not a working mummy, I will have home schooling in the first few years but in deed I am not!
You are right. I totally agreed with you. If I let Tiffany go to school, I will only send her to those schools of project oriented. I really can't stand works like writing vocabulary and dictation. It's killing kids power of imagination, creativity and fun!
I have been teacher some years ago. To tell the truth, the ways of teaching and standard of most teachers are disappointing. (However, it's not all their fault. The reasons are too many and too complicated to tell here.)
