I think we don't need to compare with other people la. some people might be able to marriage a rich man but they might not be as happy lei..
My hubby don;t have money too and there still 25 years to pay off our mortgage :-( :-( :-( , but I always remind myself to count our blessing.
in fact, we are so lucky to be able to have health, food, shelter, and the love one around us.
so I am quite happy..
what I need to do now is to pay off our debt (borrow money from my SIL to pay the deposit)
afterward, I can try to have bb....
anyway, what I want to say is to be happy everyday and enjoy yr life whether ur are full time mum or working mum
Not to worry too much.
It take time to look for a job and receive an offer.
when I was in Uni, it take me 5 months to receive an offer (most of my classmate got an offer within 1 month).
So just keep looking and wait.
also now might not be the best time to look for job as its just after x'mas and new year. I think March will be better as new financial year coming and company might recruit more to deal with the extra job in the new year.
Try to send yr CV to as many agent as u like.
also try to send yr CV directly to company u fancy too. let see which one get to u first.
I had a friend she was an accountant and came from south african (she originally from TW) few year ago.
at the beginning, she sent her CV directly to those big 5 A/C firm and they didn;t give her any reply.
later on, she was asked to go for an interview with one of the big 5 by the agent, jsut before the interview, the company called the agent that they will not give him any commission even if they employ her since the company already received her CV well before the agent contact the company. just that the HR people in the firm didn;t get her CV to the right person.
but the agent was so with the firm and ask my friend not to go for interview and promised her to find her a job. so she didn;t go for the interview and as promised, the agent found her a job in a big retails company.
What I want to tell u is that sometime u need a bit luck in this country (not necessary about yr skill or experience).
as in my friend case, if the HR officer pass on her CV to the manager immediately, she might be working for the A/C firm.
Also in this country, agent will convince u to take some temp or contract work rather than a permanent offer. they might say that there no permanent job at the moment. This usually not the case, they just want to receive higher commission (temp and contract job offer higher commisision to agent). so just insist that u want to have permanent job which offer u better benefit and protection.
I hope u receive an offer asap,
in the meantime, enjoy yr time with yr lovely daughter
we buy the property is relatively cheap.
in order to save money, we decided to go for buying rather than renting.
rent per month (similar property) will cost us £850 per month, (we need at least 2 bedrooms as we want to have bb later and we had load of rubbish)
and our mortgage only £700. its a saving of £150 everymonth and at the end of the day, its ours. do u think its crazy that mortgage is cheaper than renting??
since we don't earn much and I have to sent money home, so we have pack lunch everyday and hardly go out for dinner....
and don;t think I can afford to become full time mum and most likely I need to go back to work after I have bb.
:-( :-( :-( :-(
I agreen with u that sometime we need some luck to get the licence.
I quite like driving that another motive for me to learn driving.
I might not drive bb around in the future as we only have 1 car and hubby need it to go to work.
also we live quite close to town anyway so car is not necessary.
I think i will be scare too if I have to drive bb around that why I want to have licence now, give me 1-2 years to pick up the skill.
by the time I need to drive bb around, I will not scare anymore,,.
