Would u tell me how to 問加薪 ?? I really don't know the skill and my face is really "thin" too! Last time I asked for a promotion because our company accountant told me that I should not be in that rank with my degree and I was really underpaid with my degree. With promotion, salary increased to the minimum of that rank lor!

Moms out of California, do you have child care leave and how long? I just find out that only CA moms would have 6 weeks of childcare leave in my company. In my last pregnancy, my company even allow 13 weeks but my division has just merge into another one this year and the policies of the new one are different. So, my plan to go back to work has been affected. I will have to apply for no pay leave for at leave 6 weeks if I want to go back at early Feb.

你可以list好哂你job duty再加自己貢獻到俾公司嘅嘢寫低起佢.然之後再同老細傾.記得唔好太緊張,講出個point再加小許幽默感.Good luck!!!

if i remembered correctly, we could take up to 6 months or 1 year's FMLA leaves at the company that i used to work for (but that's 4 yrs ago). for the similar kind of leaves from government, that i'm not sure abt coz the benefits offered from my ex-company were much better than those from the government.
but i'd heard that some moms have taken the advantage of child care leaves from the government. one of my friends worked for a small company and she's applied for that to take care of her toddler son when he was very sick. but i think there's a limit. u might wanna check out the web site of EDD or call them to ask abt the details.

For me, I take the maximum pay period from the govt. i.e. 4 weeks before delivery, 6 weeks after --- all these counted as disability insurance for normal vaginal delivery. After that, it will be 6 weeks "paid family leave" for bonding with newborn. So a total of 4 months and all these numbers are the maximum for giving birth to a baby. If u applied for DI like me, then at the end of the DI period, they will automatically mail an application form of PFL for u. Check out the web:

你job duty即係自己嘅工作範圍,列份表俾老細睇自己做幾多嘢.
contribution可以係你所做嘅嘢而benefit到公司,team or department.譬如係做sales嘅就要mention一下營業額,諸如此類.講完e2個point時就同佢講你好鍾意依份工,但你亦知道自己salary係below market rate.問佢可唔可以adjust吓人工…
同老細傾加薪時要面帶笑容,幽默感一定要放些小ga.如果唔係佢may get offended…你自己對住塊mirror練多幾次先啦!如果佢今年唔加多d人工,下年就再接再厲咯.千其唔好”需”咗就唔再試.
我今個pregnancy同上次嘅經驗都差唔多,依加要take 個3 hours嘅glucose test, cuz I failed in the first screening…不過我2月中就due 喇,都係頂多3個幾月啫.你依加係咪自己湊住2個細ga?有冇get help?

so do I. I did not ask for high salary.. the new job is just base on my experience, and give me what I should have..
that's it..
I don't dare to bargan about it.. I am so chicken...

I will keep a mind.. respirtory unit.. so. he wants to work in nj or ny.. if there are any offer.. or he doesn't mind where he works?
Also, he wanna work day, evening or night? or flex 12 hours shift..?
Sorry to ask so many question.. otherwise, I really have no idea how to help him..
did you forward the website to him.. he can simply check it by himself periodically.. to see when they will have the next job fair.

If I don't remember wrong, Justin bornt on Aug 17, right? Amanda bornt on Aug 18. I have 13 weeks maternity leave from my company; 4 days before delivery and 12 weeks 3 days after. So, I suppose to go back to work also at mid-Nov. But, I decide to take 6 weeks child care leave (FMLA) hence, it would be Dec 24 that I should go back to work. Since my parents plan to go back to HK for 3 weeks in Jan, I might need to take some leave of absence without pay. Last year before my dept. merged with another group, I was given 13 weeks of childcare leave (but I missed it because of misunderstanding). Now, the new policy is only 6 weeks.

其实有無胆去問加薪係視乎有無需要同工作環境.我d同事大多數都問,if我唔問,我自己份花紅实保唔住.我每年都靠依筆$ bank落去401k喥,老咗都有d使費嘛!

魚係要過堂先会大,所以你咪加咗16%人工咁多咯!我响依份工做咗7年多喇,依2年先多d recognition,唔想去新環境再向上爬.我prefer做得舒服d,偷吓懶都冇人理

me too i max out my 401k from the bonus. can't talk about 加薪 cuz i get in late and get out early ma.

although underpaid but really have not much to do apart from busy season. kinda like working in midtown cuz all the shops r here la so i could go window shopping during lunch ma =p

RN is in high demand so I am sure they pay u really well that u dont need to bargain la. especially u r bilingual, luthern has alot of chinese patients, so I am sure they r gonna be keeping u busy la.

wah, no wonder u make so much la , working through lunch. so hard working woh. rumurs r rumurs, i dont think company would fire ppl who really works. mostly fire those in the upper mgt levels who makes $$$$$ ma. i have no bargaining power, sometimes i feel a little bit down cuz feeling useless at work but with kids, i guess i really need a flexible schedule. :~ no choice.

So Cloudy, 係呀, 我真係都幾薄皮架, 唔迫埋黎, 我都會"算啦". 呢幾個星期, 可能我返工返到無離精神, 樣衰衰咁, 大老細問我有咩問題, 係關心果種, 我暗示俾佢知我想走, 佢懶大方咁話佢可以俾時間我interview, 最緊要唔好呃佢, 仲話如果我決定去邊個field 佢會幫埋手搵工添, 不過之後果兩個鐘就同我講留底既好處.例如flexible time, work fr home...
然後第二日, 直屬老細就打俾我, 叫我下星期二飛去佢個島傾下我想做咩, 我想轉position 都得. 但我心知, 個title 點轉, 我都係會做番同一樣野, 因為佢係外島, 遠水救唔到近火, 個department 有事如果我唔埋, 邊個埋.
