Sorry I was out town to work so have not come to bbk for a long time... yes, i did the oscar in 東區醫院, actually the doctor did not tell me, but when she measured the baby size and neck skin, she told the figure to the nurse who assisted her, and then the nurse wrote it down. So i know law!

The report only tell us it is now risk or high risk. No other information. Very simple one.

我上個禮拜四都照咗LU…個結果係五千幾份之一…護士話都算係low risk, 我都安心D…等遲D再去照果個"結構性超聲波"…再睇真D阿B…hehe…

I just got the result of my oscar screening test.

bb size - 6.17cm
neck skin - 19mm
risk of trisomy 21 - 1:345
risk of trisomy 13, 18 - 1:629

Although the clinic said it is "Low Risk", but still the number seems the probability still high....

Very worried. Anyone have similar ratio as mine? Will you do further testing?

It is just a figure for reference. Mine's even worser than yours. My result is high risk due to the high ratio of 1:8, with neck skin 4mm. Hence I decided to take the CVS test direct, the result shows that the trisomy of 13, 18 and 21 are normal.

So it just depends on whether you trust the report or not. Otherwise you may try other test, though that's risky.

How many weeks when u did the CVS test? is it really that dangerous? where did u take the test?

I am now 13 weeks, saw from the leaflet that the CVS test can only be done before end of 13th week.... really 15/16 whether to take CVS test immediately.

I did the CVS test when I was week 13. I decided to do the test once I got the high risk report.

I used to consult Dr. Ma, but she didn't have the equipment. Hence she referred me to Dr Macor Wan's office to do the test. I felt painful when I did the test, but it only lasted for a few minutes, and I took rest at home for 4 days after the test. I don't think it's so dangerous, but of course you have to understand this test is risky anyway.

你哋有無食過安胎藥或打過安胎針? 我睇到個website講咁會影响驗血結果令result 會high-risk D... 我作小產四、五個禮拜, 所以食咗好多安胎藥同打咗幾枝安胎針, 唔知關唔關事呢?

要等到下星期一先見醫生瞭解情況, 好煩!!!

我太太就無啦，只係係十一週到睇過中醫，但係都已經同中醫講過話有小朋友。
所以佢都「就住」開。
不過點都好啦，希望大家個bb都健健康康成長。

Previously, I did Oscar Test in Eastern Hospital and the description of test result is simple (just saying negative, did not mention about the probability). Today, i went there for 覆診. I asked the doctor if i can get a more detailed report, she is very nice and tell me the probability (mine is 1:1000).....Because my baby's neck-skin is a bit think (around 2.7mm) and I am quite worried even i got a negative report. Now, knowing the probability, i am more relieved la.
So, if any mama did the Oscar test at Eastern Hospital and want to know the probability, you can ask the doctor as they have the report on file.

Also, I hv book the structual test on 2 Jun.

打安胎針和食安胎藥是不會有影響的，因為我塞了三個月安胎藥、打了四支安胎針，oscar result 是1:146xx，low risk。

我4月1日照oscar, BB 12w1day, 6.5cm, neck skin 1.9mm, risk of Trisomy 21 is 1:4XXX, Risk of Trisomy 13+18 is 1:79xx. Doctor told me it is low risk.

我醫生都無同我提過oscar test 呢樣野 ,只係提過抽羊胎水個test,

我bb已經過差唔多15weeks喇, 而家先book 做oscar test 會唔會太遲呀, 使唔使book 多耐架
