Halong boat trip in tour C takes 90 minutes.
Sanyan 過關 is actually very fast if you have got the "回鄉証". If no "回鄉証", the quene is much longer. But you needed to wait for the arrangement of the Superstar Virgo in Lido theatre (~ 30 minutes for my tour) to bring you to 過關.

Do you mind sharing about your Tour C to Halong Bay? I can't decide which one to join. Would u recommend us to go by ourselves instead of joining Star Virgo for the excursion? Thanks

I think Tour A and C are quite similar. Tour A include lunch but tour C doesn't. The lunch is quite expensive ($150 for 2 noodles, spring roll and some drinks only!) Tour A include water puppet show (quite specially) but Tour C didn't. Tour A has more time to tour around the market. So tour A is "豪華團" version of Tour C (according to the tour guide).
I wonder if we can go by ourselves or we must join the excursion to Halong Bay. You'd better ask the reception counter. It's very convenient to join the tour the night before the trip, so you can make the decision later.
I didn't join tour B as I am not sure my kids (3 & 5 yrs old) can finish the walk by themselves in the cave.

The different cost for Tour A and C is $50 only (not $150). So, the lunch fee should be $50?

Can you tell me what time you started the Tour C and when you went back to the Superstar Virgo? Is it OK for having the lunch ourselves in Halong?

I join tour C and we have the lunch paid by ourselves ($150 - only for 2 noodles, some spring roll and drinks). Everything is expensive in Halong. It costs me $20 RMB for 2 box drinks for my kids. We gather at 9:45 in the ship and arrive the ship at around 2:45 p.m.

To make an amendment, should be tour C include water puppet show, not tour A.

I will check if we have enough time for us to use all facilities that we want in Virgo first before making decision of joining the tour or not. Anyway, do you think it's worth joining the tour or just staying in Virgo? Can we also enjoy the Halong scenery in Virgo?

Please also let me know when the Buffet dinner will be started as we will get on Virgo at 3:00pm. However, we think it will be a long queue to check-in. Was it very crowded for you to wait for check-in?

I will go on 20/7 and see if I have something to share with all BK members later.

I check in at 3:30 p.m. and it takes around 10 minutes to finish. The buffet dinner started at 6:30 p.m. They have a fire drill for all passengers at around 5:30.

Some people in the same tour found that it would be too long for the boat trip (90 minutes) if you don't like to look at islets. For me, my personal opinion is I would rather go to HaLong trip than stay in the ship. The trip is OK but don't expect that it is very impressive.

The main children's centre is at 10/F. There is a big arcade game area. But you need to exchange special coins to play (HKD 2.5 for one coin, and e.g. the beetle card game costs 4 coins each time). Outside the arcade is the children's pool with two ultra-short water slides and some water fountain.

The Children's Centre has an area for those who paid for child care, but my family did not use it.

Other facilities that may suit children are mini Golf, basketball, table tennis, mini-wall-climbing. (That's all I can think of for the time being)

The show "Sports Unlimited" is suitable for people of all ages.

我覺處女星號的facilities 幾好.
船上有泳池, 一個在10/F, 係for 小朋友, 個池好細, 旁邊有個jacuzzi.
另外好似在12/F 有另一個swimming pools + 4 jacuzzi.
最好帶埋泳衣.

nursery room 有 free programmes比小朋友, 不過唔多.
如果想入去玩, 就要charge, 大人唔入得.
可以放低小朋友, 大人去睇 show or casino.
