After reading all the messages, I found no one is using the same method as ours. We have a joint current account for all expenses including mortgage loan and household expenses etc either on autopay or by cheque. On pay day, we will deposit the agreed sum about (60% fm my husband & 40% fm me) into the account. For entertainment or any ad-hoc expenses, both of us are always happy to pay. Sometimes me and sometimes him. After paying the monthly sum, we have our own decision on our money left.
I quite like this method. What do you think?
