thanks for your support.

Actually I used to pump my milk out in weekdays and I guess coz of the milk pump which is very powerful... I can still keep the quantity even though I don't feed him by myself...

I'll stop BF gradually coz I want Joshua to have a transition period ... maybe one or two months... at least when I see Joshua can eat well of solid food for one or two meals... (lunch + dinner)...

but firstly I want to stop pumping milk in the office coz I want to have some resting time.,.. it's abit too harsh to work whole day without rest... and only 10 minutes for lunch...

But when I see Joshua is healthy and lovely (with God's blessing, he has visited doctor for two times, one for eczema and one for little cough which doctor said he could recover by himself)... I will feel very happy also...

like hayhay, Joshua has eczema and that's why in the beginning I used to force myself to BF him instead loh. (Otherwise I think I have stopped since he was one month old laaa...)

also, when I think I want another bb in the coming future... I need to take rest la...

I agree with Sandy that keeping bf your baby..my joshua also 1/2 yr lar...he have half bowl(very small one) of cereal everyday..and he seem like to hv apply juice too.. i would keep to bf him until he don;t want...as i think that the antibodies fr me would keep him healthy...

For sure, bf the baby is a hard work... esp when u need to work daily.. but i think the reward is great... as u see yr baby grow up healthier.. : )

I've just renewed my rental contract of the milk pump yesterday for 2 more months...

Yes, I agree mama milk is good for bb coz I see Joshua is fine and healthy...

but still I will start to revise my schedule on pumping milk by 3 times a day to 2 times a day (skip the lunch session)... so that I don't need to bring lots of things to the office loh.

I shall look and see if I can pass the "teething' period as I am afraid my girl would bite me hard during these few months. Looking forward to Hoi CHing taking 2 meals of congee. . .At that time I can stop pumping milk in the office and say good bye to the large bag of pumps and accessories and say hello to the long missing restaurants

Dears,

Just want to share that my joshua do have the rush on face since 2 or 3 mths, not remember exactly. The doctor in QE give us a jar of Aqueous Cream as the daily cream for the baby.. it is good, the condition improve. Now my Joshua still use it as the doctor give another jar when we have the checking again. Try to ask the doctor to give u.. it is a very common. My nurse friend said that they use as as the smoothing face cream, hand cream for themselves in hospital too....

Me too...... looking forward to the gossip time with colleagues at lunch time again...... especially start from this week, I have to pump milk in the toilet coz the auditor use the conference room

my limited milk supply reduce again and can just pump about 2 oz during lunch :cry: maybe because of the pump gwa (I use medela mini-electric now, but the power is really weak if using batteries....... I use Lactina before when pumping in the conference room)....... when hayhay take 2 meals of solid, I'll stop pumping in the office also........

Paulina, do you still rent the symphony??? How much does it cost to extend for 2 months? I remembered they will count you as a new contract even if you're extending the pump..... so have to pay higher price....... I have paid 6 months rental already coz it's cheaper and can make myself commit......

BTW, I have to go to a course next week and it runs from 7 to 10pm (Mon, tue, Thurs and Fri)...... I'm still thinking about the pumping plan.........should I pump one more time in the office or just wait until back home? I'm hesitate to pump one more time in the office because of the toilet environment and always feel the pump is not powerful enough to pump all the milk...... ?-(

The extended rental price for Symphony for each month after 1 contract is $380 and I have paid 760 for two months loh! (no need to sign another contract but you need to go back to the shop you rent the pump in order to extend the contract) and I wish I could have a less pain transition period. coz when I need to cut off my milk supply bit by bit...

and my first wish is to cut the milk pumping session during lunch hour... for now, I have reduced my pumped milk to 4 oz (originally 6 oz) and limited to 20 mins of pumping... of coz I feel abit pain at night and the milk supply at night is abit greater than normal... I hope this can relieve my pressure la.

Yes, 'Mini electric' by using batteries is not enough... not powerful ga... but better than using hand pump laaa... and hope you can use the conference room again very soon...

I gave birth to my daugther on 22 Aug and now she is near 6 mths old la

Recently, she also likes to suck fingers and even bite them. I also consult doctor about it. He said that it is normal and no need to obstruct. Coz it is one of ways for bb to learn. also, teething will cause them to bite fingers. :arrow: keep hygiene is OK la

好耐冇留言啦! 我原本打算等婕婕半歲大先開始戒人奶, 但我呢個星期開始d奶量勁降, 由原本lunch時可泵11-12oz變到淨返7-8oz, 朝早由6oz變到由婕婕一手包辦食晒冇得泵, 依家佢食3餐人奶2餐奶粉, 都唔知發生咩事 ?-( , 所以我要將計劃提早 :-(

今日第一次俾婕婕食成餐糊仔, 加左半隻旦黃同豬肉湯

我的乳量都會幾反覆...可能我係全職mama, 如果我不用返學時...會lazy唔泵奶..又或者飲少了魚湯.要泵時會小些奶奶....不過我都會儘量俾bb食耐啲人奶...因為我quit份工做全職mama的目的是想多些時間照顧bb及餵人奶....而且我bb唔肯吃奶粉.....所以更加要努力keep奶量...

各位mama努力..

For me, my milk supply is normally around 18 -20 oz per day... coz for the past 3 months (starts when I back to work)... 3 meals-4 meals mama milk and two meals by formula.

originally I want to stop breastfeed when Joshua is 6 months old but for now (Joshua is already 6 months old) the milk supply is still 18 oz around... so I have to extend the rental agreement of the milk pump for further two months... and hope I can cut off the mik supply in this period.

Joshua likes solid food very very much... especially when he sees others eating!!! he has tried carrots, banana (most favourite), congee, soup...

but yesterday coz he ate more than two spoons of banana... he was too greedy!!! and then...

I can only pump 15-18 oz milk per day, but I bf my girl 3 times. So far she don't need any supplement in formula milk. Now she's taking 1 meal of congee and so far so good. Last saturday I found her having her first 2 teeth out (lower part)

Dear all,
hi! My name is AhPooh. This is my first time to share my experience. I'm so glad to do it.
I also give BF to my daugther. Now she is 6mths old la. Initially, I also hv papaya fish soup and certainly BF supply is ideal. However, my daugther has itchness and rash because of papaya fish soup.(a Chinese medicine physican said).
When I stop having this soup, itchness and rash is subsided.

up to now, my daugther still has BF and gradually she is introduced solid food like fish congee, banana mesh, apple mesh, and fish

she is so greedy . haha.
Meanwile, because of working stress, BF supply is relatively decrease. then a friend introduces "Mother's milk". it has a little bit help for supply.
anyway, I will continue BF as much as I can. Keep on !

I was very busy at the office this two weeks and I have a flu now...... probably because of this, my milk supply seems affected........ I didn't take any medicine, just keep on drinking water.......

There are many medince that are bf safe. The sooner you recover, the better to your family member and esp your baby. Think about it.

I had flu last week as well and I took Panadol Cold and Flu (not the extra one) before it got serious. My flu was gone after 2 days. You can try it too. Get well soon!

Hi all,

How are you

My milk supply decreased since I was sick and went to school last week (can only pump milk after back home at 9 or 10pm and cannot feed BB directly at dinner time

)....... now pump longer and drink more soup/water....... hope can restore the supply soon......

hayhay resume mid-night feed from last week (he quit by himself when he's 3 months old) and now, he'll wake up at about 3am, take a little milk (2-4 oz only), play a while in his bed and fall asleep himself again....... I didn't feed him myself, coz I was tired and lazy. BTW, my maid said he bite the teether last night and guess his teeth is coming out...... yet, I didn't see any "white spot" on his gum ?-(

Hayhay is very naughty now...... yesterday, he used his both feet to "kick" away my pump when I feed +pump. I give up feed +pump now la. Now, he will suck for a few minutes, then look around and played with my nipple..... is your BB like this???

It's the second time I get sick; my milk supply decreases. I am drinking soup every other day, but it doesn't help much.

Caron always likes to play with my nipple

She woke up several times last night (she sleeps through the night for a month). I read book saying teething will break the usual sleeping pattern. She also cries suddenly these few days; I guess her tooth is coming.
