I just moved out of F.P. 1/2 year ago because I really want to shorten the travel time of my daughter. When we lived there, my daughter studied in Kowloon Tong for 1 year and Taipo for another year. Both places took more than an hour in transportation. I prefer my daughter use this "1 hour" for after-school activites or homework and then go to bed earlier. F.P. is a good private housing estate, I saw it has continuous improvement on living environment, club house facility for the past 9 years. If you want more 活動空間, there is some low density private housing estate in "north district" you can choose. Where does your son study?
Yes, if you drive, it's still ok. But you have two kids studying in kln side, it's very hard to handle. And if they take school bus, the bus fee for two kids (my experience) is at least $2000 to 3000 a month....
I don't think I can drive them to school as I am a working mom. My husband can drive them in the morning, but cannot pick them up in the afternoon. Moreover, I think the transportation is too expensive. Anyway, I have to think about it carefully.
My husband also drove my daughter to school in the morning, she took the school bus after school. Though it is a one-way trip , the school bus charged us 2/3 of the full month bus fee. Additionally, no school bus service if she took after-school activities and no refund.
Yes, you may consider if it's worth to move anywhere when your son goes to secondary school (I guess he is now in primary)
I'm now living in Taipo. Originally, we did want to move within F.P. but looked for a bigger parking space for two cars. Then my husband can drive our daughter to school and I pick her up using another car. End up, we found the price for our desired "section" and "style" were not so reasonable. We started seeking those which is near to my daughter's school. Taipo has some private housing estates with big public open spaces and club house e.g. 新峰花園 (around 300 萬 for 1000 呎),
大埔花園 (older and cheaper than 新峰花園), 帝欣苑.

Thanks for your sharing. I lived in Taipo too before I move to KLN. I lived in 帝欣苑 first, 寶馬山later & 倚龍山莊last. Actually, it's difficult for me to find a place which is cheap & big coz I live with my parents & need a bigger apartment. 新峰 my husband doesn't like it, 帝欣苑 & 倚龍 are good but not in my budget, anyway, thks a lot.
