i've searched the web for more info on how to start our own playgroup. have found some articles, and would like to post some paragraphs here for your reference (basically, quite similar to those i post to u.)

Location, Location!
Depending on your climate and neighborhood, you may want to rotate between homes, a public place like your community park, or both.

Scheduling (the tricky part)
During your trial play dates (or even before) discuss parents' and children's schedules. Finding the best time for everyone is important for a successful play group. Sometimes Saturday is the only available day an entire group can meet. It's also best to avoid the end of the day when toddlers are getting tired or hungry. Once your play group has agreed to a schedule, do your best to stick to it. If meeting schedules become flexible, confusion can set in and the group's momentum may be lost.

Agree on Safety and Discipline Rules
If you're in a rotating play group it is imperative that you clearly define your method of discipline and what type of behavior to consider off limits. It's also important to express the golden rule that if any kids are sick (or even if they are recovering from an illness) they cannot participate in that week's play group.

Snacks and Food
A snack break can be a fun part of any play group. Discuss among the parents what types of food should be served and who will provide the snacks. Rotating snack duty, even if you're meeting in a public place, is fair way to handle the task.

Dear all mams,
I am sorry I have to miss the 1st section today, owing to the heavy rainstorm... since i live in tai koo sing, where is kinda far away from Mrsbunbun's home, it would be very inconvenient for me to bring my BB (20 lbs already) to there...

I just talked to Mrs. Bun Bun. Probably some moms can't go because of heavy rain. But Mrs. Bun Bun's house is still open to us today. Pls join us to play if you can make it. Anyway, I will go today.

i suggest 3rd or 10th (preferably 10th) of Sept, and it's ok for me to go to any bb's home.

i would suggest sep 3, as i think we'd better follow the bi-weekly schedule, except public holiday. because we need not fix the next play date every time, and we can plan ahead our own schedule.

so i suggest our next few play dates:

sep 3, sep 17, oct 8, oct 22

what do you think?
