My due date is Aug 9 and I am already 38 week. Baby will come anytime now. I am very excited! Sure will post some photos when baby arrives.

Hi Calgary, I just moved out from Hidden Valley 10 months ago. It's a very convience place to Deerfoot Trail or 14 St. I move to Cougar Ridge now which is really a long drive to T & T supermarket. I remembered I talk to you before but I forgot how old are you kids. My boy is 5 yrs old. He will have a soccer camp at soccer centre next week. Did you register any day camp for them?

hi Calgary,
I agreed...after the baby arrived there is so hard for "2 people world"! We went to Toronto last week for her "double moon yuk" dinner and it's so lucky that we got to set in business class the way to Toronto and on the way back we got extra sit to put the car seat~~i think it's breastfeeding is really good and convenient coz u don't need to carry all little bottles and formular around when u travel~~
we try to look for good drop in daycare coz next yr when i return to work then she will need to go to daycare center plus i only work 12days a month so i don't if they have part-time daycare service.

Hi wlam, no talk here for long time, summer is busy busy busy. oh, we were 'neighours' 10 months ago !! Yes, it's quite convenient here esp now to the airport, and only 20 minutes to China Town. My son is 8 and my daughter is 4, these few weeks, i am driver for them to summer camps, last week was busy, my girl went to morning day camp from 9-12, and my boy afternoon day camp from 1-4, and after we went out, they don't want to be back home at once, so hanging around malls & macdonalds,etc. I did register him in a soccer camp in early April, but they cancelled due to low registration #, i once thought of sending him to soccer centre in SE, but it's really long trip with them fighting & agruing in the car, so finally i didn't put him in, but he was in a basketball camp in the 1st week of July, and is OK, it' only in Edgemont.

Do you have school in Cougar Ridge, it is also a new community, right?

hi cc008 - nice to hear that you have a trip to Toronto, the only thing we went there is to eat & eat those HK style food that we miss in Calgary, good 'Chinese long donuts' with 'steam rice rolls', do you know what i mean - 'cha leung' and good Shanghai soup thick noodles, dumplings, yummy!!!

Do try to gather information for daycare earlier, because some good ones fill up very quickly. I may face similar problems because i may have to work in October for someone who is on maternity leave, her baby due end of September. In September will be in her 2nd year preschool, but it will be only Mon, Wed & Fri, and it is already $140/month, if i put her in another preschool for the rest of the week, it will cost another $100, its quite a lot, as i only agreed to work part-time, so, still thinking.

But anyway, there is still 2 more months to go, leave it behind first. We will be heading to Pentiction next week,or may be to Vancouver if time allowed, but it's really a long drive and a lot of things to pack.

hey doggie - yeah, back to school is the most wonderful thing, but still have to wait till 7 Sept for my boy & 10Sept for my girl, and then winter is approaching again !!!

Do you have annual leave from working the whole year, are you also having holidays in the summer time so you can spent time w/ your god-children.

Hi Calgary, Nice to have a good weather these few days. Since we just move to Cougar Ridge so I don't know which communities nearby has activities for my boy. Do you know the Alliance Church at Beddington have day camp from Aug 2 to Aug 20. The camp fee is CAD80/weekly from 9 - 4. Compare with YMCA $130 or VRRI $110 it is really cheap!!!! I've registered my boy on the last week. There are 2 private schools at Cougar Ridge : Waldorf School and Calgary French International School. Both are expensive which I won't consider. What "after school activities" will you register for your boy on September. Please give me some idea. Nice to talk to you again.

HI how's everyone's long weekend? mine is wonderful, swimming in the beach (within the provincial park) got sun tan/burn. really have fun.

Calgary - yes, will have my vacation off next week - going camping with my godchildren's family. Driving to northern part of Toronto (the Killnary Provincial park) and have camping there for 1 week. hope the weather will be fine next week as today is raining.

hope no more mosiquito... then would enjoy the kiking, canoeing, swimming....
better stop dreaming and go back to work, otherwise can't go without cleanup my backlog... :lol:
