同你一樣, 我咁辛苦半工讀咁多年, 至有個degree(嗰時我已經27歲).. 我會好唔甘心做一世家庭煮婦, 我plan住講master, 攞埋nursing practitioner, 之後自己執業開clinic架(if我讀得掂嘅話, as 醫院每年俾18個credits我, 我係第一次有免費書讀呢)

I start to get 好矛盾 these few days too: my bb act like a lady last week and was not kicking as frequent as before. Then one day I was so worried that I had to boost up my blood glucose (by eat eat eat...) and then lie on bed to feel her kicks. Luckily she kicked to let me know that she's OK....

Then this week after drinking the very sweet glucose solution in the lab (for the diabetes test), she was so happy that she started playing soccer inside my tummy......for 2 days la....

Long time no talk here la... We moved last Monday and my Internet just set up. I tried to write something yesterday here, but BK loaded very slowly, finally, I gave up to wait la. This morning, I woke up 4:xxam and tried early to see BK. Still slow but it seems my private time, so I can wait la. How are you, everyone? Miss all of you ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like taking the cruise. My hubby and I think take the cruise good for little baby, because cruise has more space for baby sleep. Baby has her own crib. Parents bring many baby stuffs, if take the cruise, only one time to load the stuffs in the ship. Just keep in the room is ok. When we took the cruise last time, my girl was 6 month-old. She also enjoyed the trip, we can take her to everywhere and, baby love to sleep in the ship, because it is comfortable when the ship on the way.

Little Fat Man,
I also like to live a house. I still love my former house ( woo....woo.... ) The lot was big and we enjoyed in our sunroom. However; we moved. So, I need to see my future. (Tomorrow will better, la...la..la... ) Now, my place has club house (swimming pool and gym), but the HOA is very expensive. US$6xx per month. We choice this area because we like the environment and the community has good develop and going on... Your hubby love your place a long time ago, also this is his dream home. Honesty, I am happy for you and your family. Dream can come true! It's very treasure! Like my hubby, he loves beach and library. Now all he can go la... (So, we should happy for our lovely hubbies)

Hi Nillie & 所以呢度嘅媽咪,我老公唔會同我一齊去美國,我會自己一個,mm呢個日子終於都來臨,心情好複習!!Nillie多謝你提醒我,最衰我老公住得離你地太遠(Stonefort, IL),如果唔係我一定會次次join你地嘅gathering,大家香港人親切d!我依家22weeks,第一胎好擔心乜都唔識,又無中國人係嗰便,都唔點坐月,最近買藥材都要楂2個鐘車去St. Louis! 唉....依家係香港仲返緊工,忙到c,一有時間我會多d上來傾! :lol: Best wishes to all mom in here!!

Cornell is good. i hv a friend who got her MD degree from there and she works in UCSF medical center which is very good too. however, she's very busy and i hv lost contact w/ her now.

u sounds like very aggressive for yr study plan. i'm just too lazy ... even i could take advantage to claim for my tuition while i was at work, i didn't do so. i always wanted to get a second masters degree or PhD, but i just kept thinking and never take the next step to submit the application forms. sometimes i think if a person knows too much, s/he would expect too much, worry too much, and finally disappointed and unhappy.
sorry ... hope not to discourage u ... he.. he ... maybe i just give myself an excuse to keep being lazy!

actually i think it's more relaxing going to HK before the baby can walk. i always told my friends abt this thought, and they all proved that's true.
also, don't worry abt getting sick in HK, cos most of my friends' babies didn't get sick there. maybe because we were all extra cautious since we all worried that they would get sick. even we went to HK during the peak of flu season there, we were ok. but we were also too worried to make up our mind to go for the trip. i think the best time going there is from Thanksgiving time to Christmas time.

we've finally enrolled our boy (2-yr-old) at Fremont christian preschool on Monday and he should be starting next month. however, i still struggle abt the commute time. so, i still keep an eye on the closer preschool.

we just visited a bilingual montessori preschool in santa clara (but in cupertino district). it's called Waha Montessori school which teaches in both English and Chinese Mandarin. i don't know if that's a good thing to learn Mandarin at the same time while he's so little. Also, they said they could let our boy move on to the next class if he knows what they teach in the toddler class (2.0-3.0 yrs old) and no need for potty-trained. I’m not sure if we should do that, coz the next class is from 3 to 4-yr-old and the classroom is not toddler-proof. Also, emotionally he’s just 2-yr-old.
sometimes i think this school is just trying to make money. they charge almost $1300 a month if going there full day.
Sigh .. I still can’t make up my mind which school we should go for. Same as hiring a nanny. Tough!

btw, our boy usually has simple breakfast like bread (w/ butter and little condensed milk), french toast, or cereal (cheerios, kix, chex, etc).

thanks for the article abt preschool education posted at Ming Pao. would u send me the link to that article? i wanna send that to my husband and 99.

my 99 just saw the preschool magazine that i bought from HK. it said that kids would be smarter if they go to preschool earlier. after she's read that, she kept pushing me sending our boy to preschool right away.
i was so upset when she said to me "U've taken care of him for 2 yrs now. i don't see how good he is now!" but in fact, although he's underweight, he really knows a lot and people said he talks like a 3-yr-old. although i haven't spent lots of time teaching him things, but i think i do hv contributions more or less.
however, she claimed that all his good things were taught by her and implied that i should be fully responsible for his underweight.

Montessori 的教學方式同一般學校不同, they group the kids by the maturity level rather than the age. 既然己報左Fremont Christian, 就比Sean試下law. Fremont Blvd. campus 有老師講cantonese. 我地可以約出黎食港式早餐or 下午茶播

i guess i'm really "chicken-out" by the commute time to FCS. especially when sean still goes to bed late and wake up late in the morning, it's even a bigger issue.
whenever i told my friends that he'll go to FCS, they all said it doesn't make sense because of the traffic.
i can imagine we'll be always in hurry for going to school, so i don't think i'll get a chance to enjoy the HK style breakfast. he ... he ... maybe i can drop by yr office to say hi to u when u're not busy?

i heard that only miss nancy can speak cantonese at the fremont blvd campus but not sure if she'll stay in the 2-yr-old class. there's also a teacher at Waha Montessori can speak cantonese. i think this helps the cantonese-speaking kids in the first few months at school. i heard that they should be able to adjust pretty quick.

frankly, i don't know much abt Montessori preschool and don't know why they're so popular (even in Asian countries now). it just seems to me that they're more fun for kids, cos there're many different projects for them to do by themselves.

btw, 99 also heard from her friend (who live in Fremont) that FCS is good. so, she said "1/2 hr driving is not too far in US ... " but she has never thought that's 1 hr driving back and forth and never driven on 880 during peak hrs.

Mini-matt was pretty quiet in my stomach, I just felt him kicking me slightly ... I was not sure if he's still alive at the time ..

. The good thing was I didn't have too much morning sickness, not even nausea (but now I wanna spit up blood :tongue: ) After he was born , he always slept like a bb , but no more la

I know what you're talking about , the drink just likes a orange juice..I did it twice during my pregnancy..
Now I don't want to hold mini-matt in my arm, he's kinda heavy , and he always pushes me away , he just wants to crawl on the floor. On the other hand, I'm afraid I have to spend more time on him..(I really create self-confliction, right ?)

I know , when you told me about HOA fee of your new place , I was shocked and it's ridiculous.. Anyway, you guys got a beautiful house in the nice area, you should be very happy.. My dream house is a million-dollar-house ..

I think most Chinese parents might not like it. To me, for preschools, it might be good. but i'm not sure how successful it would be for elementary school and above.
