hi wlam - we just returned from Kelowna & Penticton BC last night, we stayed there from 8/2 till 8/9, both for 3 nights. It was hot there but also rained for 2 days. Yes, I know the Alliance Church at Beddington, as we were out of town the 1st 2 wks of August, i just registered my son at the last week's evening VBS from 6-9pm, and it only cost $25 (quite cheap) & next week will have a soocer camp ($100)in Edgemont from 9-12 (my son's favorite sport), and that it for the summer. For the after school activities, i will registered him in basketball & indoor soccer, the basketball will be in Sandstone at 3:45pm. As winter is approaching very fast after school begins, all activites will be indoors.
long time no see - all moms. Just came back from the trip.. not a good experience... but still have fun - walking in the muddy trail, camp under the thunder storm, lighting...etc.
Car went out of gas, electricity... etc. temp is so cold - down to 5C in the provincial park... need to wear down coat in the SUMMER time.. just can't imagine that..

i have signed a mortgage agreement with Bank A, and the closing date of the house is end of August. My agent told me that I can switch to any bank as I like before the closing date, even I have signed the agreement; and no need to pay $ to Bank A as penalty. Bank B offer me a much better rate than Bank A now; and have pre-approved already. Is it true?? Can I switch to use Bank B without any penalty to Bank A? URGENT. Thanks.
Mrs. Chan - Why are you still on line? It's 12:30 already in Calgary, raining & cold outside. Tomorrow will be winter again, the highest temperature will be only 7, Edmonton may have similar weather, right. I have a son & a girl, but 1 boy is already 'un-ding-able'!!!
how's everyone's weekend? 2 more weeks the kids will be back to school - summer will be over. But I did not even really enjoy the hot hot hot summer..

ckkwkl - have u sort out your mortgage issue? I remembered when we were in HK... if you haven't do the final closing, you don't need to pay any penalty for shifting the bank as you have the choice to do so... but not sure how it works in here... hope everything is fine and resolved by now.

bank b had called company for verification today, will go to sign agreement with bank b tomorrow. no need to pay for penalty; and the difference is saving $90 on interest per month. saving $1 is saving $1, no $$ la. have to start all over to save $ from the very beginning again.. :-( :-( :-(
Hi Calgary, Winter is in Calgary today!!!! It's cold outside. I just bought a sandwich machine from Canadian Tire. It costs 9.99. Good Deal! I can make 飛碟 for my boy's lunch. Are your kids ready for school? I really have a headache when I try to arrange after school activities for my boy. For sure I will put him on the Yamaha music program, swimming lessons and chinese school. I'm still thinking about Kumon math and indoor soccer but it seems too many programs for him. Do you think so? Can you give me the information of indoor soccer your boy registered? Thanks.

Hey wlam - yes, winter is here, did you turn on the heat, my kids changed to winter pjs. Wow, so many after-school activities for your son, he is only in Grade 1, time arrangement is really difficult but i think you have only 1 boy, things can be more easier. My son is not in chinese school, he is that kind of moving around kid, can sit still for a while. He hates swimming & only pass Level 1, may try later with his sister. You can try msbunited.ca/com and eastsidesoccer.com/ca (I forgot whether is .ca or .com). I never thought of Kumon math for my son, he will not pay attention if he knows better than others. When my son was in kindergarten, he already knew how to count from 1 to 1000, and one day in class learning counting from 1-100, my son keep counting on but was stopped by the teacher (some kids even cannot count till 30 or 50). My son was so upset & disappointed about that.

I guess you've already given birth, right? From the photo, I guess you've got a baby boy, am I right? Congratulations!! How heavy is your baby when born? It's glad to know the news. When did you acutally give birth then?
