sign of teething...very beginning might not see any white at all butyou can see that the gum is fuller/swollen ~ Carlos has swollen gum andbad dribbles for a long time before we started seeing any white! He isnow having the 5th-7th teeth coming up ~ very very bad dribbles &grumpy all the time!
Give him a teether (but some babies prefer a piece of cloth, thesleeves of his top, his blanket or even their own thumb). I put theteethers back to the pot of sterilising solution when he doesn't useit. Calgel helps as well.
I also gave Carlos fromage frais/yoghurt and he likes it (but you mightwant to wait until Gabriel is about 6 months old to do this la).

Giving baby water...Carlos doesn't like water at the beginning and Italked to other mums and they recommend doing 'apple/pear drink' or'carrot drink' ~ not like the mums here juice & cordial all thetime...
Wash an apple & a pear, leave the skin on but but them into wedges,remove the cores and put everything into a sauce pan & add about1-1.5 litres of water, bring up to the boil then simmer for 30mins. Some mums add one '蜜棗' to make it sweeter but I don't. You canthen save it in a flask and give it to Gabriel to drink. It is a bitmore work but most babies like it and this can help them to take inliquid other than milk!
Alternatively, I put half a cap of gripe water into 120ml of warm water~ as the water has a little bit of sweet taste, this encourage them todrink. If successful, can put less and less gripe water to the bottlega!
As the baby grows older I also give him 開奶茶, '生熟意米sweetcorn &carrot drink' and they all seems to help him with his poo poos &heat

I don't use Alma too often...I got it when I studied Spanish in HK as the instructor said we need to have a spanish name but I quite like it ~ had I had a baby girl, she would have been called Alma la ...
