One further question - My maid started on 20th March of this year. She has been taking unpaid leave for the past statutory holidays (i.e. 5th April and 1 May) as I understand the 1st 3 months she isn't entitled to paid statutory leave. I would like to know whether I have to pay for the next statutory holiday i.e. 19th June. Thx in advance.
ANS:{From March 20th to April 19th is one full month. April 20th toMay 19th is second full month. May 20th to June 19th is third full month. That means you have to pay for the June 19th statutory holiday.}

ANS:{Her first working day should start counting from 11th May. From 11th May to 31st May is total 21 days. Add 1 day which she did not take leave. Total is 22 days of salary.

I have got the following questions, hope you can give me some hints!
1. If I terminate my maid within contract period, can she still work in HK if she can find another employer? I heard the agency said she can only stay in HK for 14 days and immigration will not allow her to start a new contract even she find a new employer, is that true?
ANS:{Yes it is true, Immigration not allowed the terminated maid to change employer in HK, except the following 3 reasons they can changed employer in HK after their termination: 1) Employer immigrate to other country, 2) Employer have financial problem, 3) Employer died.
2. On the other hand, if I want to recuit a maid while she is voluntary early completion of her contract, will this recruitment be success? What is difference between " I terminate her" and "mutually early completion"?
ANS:{Early completion of contract only allowed not more than 28 days before the visa expiry. If more than 28 days it will be treated as termination. If really finished contract with early released of course you can employ her as local changed emplyer. If she is terminated she need to wait for the visa out of Hong Kong}
3. What is OWWA?

My maid will come on mid Jul, actully agency will bring her to body check but I also worry it is enough or not and I would like to bring her to my doctor to check again but need to wait 1 week to get the result. During this week, will you bring her back to home or leave her in agancy?
ANS:{Medical by agency is OK, why not trust?? The medical check up is done by the Laboratory & the medical report is issued by the doctor not agency!
For my understanding, the result only need to wait for 2 days not a week. If need to wait for a week I will bring her home, because you need to pay for the salary and boarding house and food for the maid during the week waiting for the medical report. You will waste a lot of money for that}

My maid informed that she would like to terminate the contract and work for me until end of Aug. She gave me 1-month notice on 28/May decided that to leave early on 28/June. My questions are:
1. My direct hiring maid from Philippines is now being processed, the form to immigration will state as replacement, do I need to prepare another letter to Immigrate to inform of the terminiation of this existing maid?
ANS:{Yes, within 7 days after your maid left your house, you have to write a letter to Immigration regarding the termination.}
2. Her last working day will be on 27/Jun and I will prepare her a one-way ticket on 28/Jun. Can I request her to leave my house at the end of 27/Jun. Any insurance issue or anything will need to be considered?

3. Do you have any sample for calculation regarding the salary, annual leave, travelling allowance when my existing maid depart?

(2)叫工人帶成套文件去辦手續,咁即係連我既financial supporting都過埋佢手,亦比佢睇埋,會唔會唔係咁好?!我可唔可以再用個envelop入好及黐好先叫佢交上去入境處6樓?
