ST, yes, even thou it is one time incident, try to tell S not to go alone and try to find accompanion all the time, to school, back to the residence hall, to library or even shopping . Winter time is coming up, sky go dark at around 2-3pm. so need to be careful.
have you been that area your self. to comfort you + 66 + S feeling, i do agree you go to visit her in Oct (if possible) and see if you need to buy her the pepper spray such in case ...or at least at teh whistle with her....
