my mom cut my bb's hair. she cut the fringe (cos my bb has M shape forehead, front bit v long). i want her to cut the bit arount the ears, i fear she might cut his ears, so get some better/safer scissors for her.

good morning everyone..... i showed all the stuff that i boght from tom lee to my bb last nite. he likes the plain shaker the most ie the one which is the easiest to make noise!!!

i also bought the bell and the plain shaker.
he also feel v.happy with the plain shaker...esp when I hold the bell and shake and sing with him

one of the reasons that lucas likes the plain shaker is because he likes eating it too like a "chicken drumstick".

haha, nice to hear that your bb like to play it

on the other hand, i made some shakers by myself, same bottle(non-transparent) with difference material inside, she loves to play

also can try the Suzuki handbells, not bad ga
(cuz the Mont bell set too expensive, over 30,000)

Hi all working moms,

Do you give your maid a timetable to follow? Also, how much time do you expect your maid to play with your baby? I am afraid that my maid takes long time to work than to play with my baby ar, I now ask her to write down what she is doing at what time and see. By the way, what time will your maid wake up? My maid now wakes up at 7am and my girl at 7:30am.

I think it varies among different families, depending on the situation. I ve grandma n grandpa coming to help. So the situation may be different. Anyway, see if it can help. J

My maid wakes up at 6 am. She will finish the cleaning work, her breakfast and boiling corn/carrot water for baby before I leave the home for work at around 7:50a.m.

After changing the diaper, she will let the baby start his free play at around 8 am. After feeding the baby his 10:00 am fruit, she will continue playing w/ the baby until grandma comes, usually at around 10:10 am. Then, the maid will go to do the remaining cleaning work (i.e. my room) and also prepares the congee for baby. Grandma will play w/ the baby until baby goes for his morning nap at around 11:00 a.m.

Baby usually wakes up at 12:30-1pm. So, the maid will make use of the morning nap time to cook the lunch and eats w. grandma. At 1pm baby has his congee, then they will play till 2:30 pm. Baby will ve afternoon nap and the maid will prepare the 5:15 congee and also takes some rest. Grandma will leave. After eating the 5;15 congee, maid will play w. the baby until grandpa comes at 5:45pm to bring baby down to playground. Then the maid will prepare the dinner. When baby returns from playground at around 6:45pm, we shall be back and will take the bath w/ the baby. The maid will help taking care of the baby when we are eating. Then, we will take care of the baby, play w/ him until baby goes to sleep. After having dinner, the maid will clean the dishes and kitchen and then she will take a bath and goes to sleep at around 9:30p.m.

we have a feeding & sleep routine for bb & housework requirement ie clean the floor everyday, wash beddings x times a month etc + ad hoc schedule => playgroups etc. cos we have take away dinner from grandma's maid, so my maid doesn't need to cook or grocery shop, so not so demanding. she manages to finish all the cleaning in the morning, afternoon ironing & playing with bb.

the maid has not much ironing work. she usually does it on sat morning when we takes the baby to playgroup. she also does the cleaning the window, changing beddings, etc on sat.

we r thinking if we should buy a container for this purpose as we r planning to bring the baby to ocean park/beach/other outdoor area, after the playgroup session in sat. morning.

Pls also advise which brand and the volume of the container u ve bought.

bakusensei - good question. my friend recommended me to buy this japanese bento style container from comme ca du mode. we got it in tokyo so cheap at the sale. it comes with 1 small thermo flasks (congee) & 2 plastic containers (for veg etc) put in a zipped up cosmetic bag look-a like. v neat, size of a small box of ferrero rocher choc (gum sa)

if u don't want to feed congee, cereal is a little easier, i saw in jusco or ho far, they have this simple container with a spoon in side, v compact (cost < $20) pingu? & put cereal powder in a separate container + water in a milk bottle.

before i got those, my maid used a plastic bowl from home & put in a zip lock bag. i told her not to....

we r feeding baby cereal on sundays (as not enough time to make the congee owing to tight schedule). so, we r thinking if sat is also cereal may not be so gd.

btw, what's the volume of the thermo flask? 1 bowl or more?

so many choices for your baby...
i only give congee to baby... and recently gave me 2 meals of congee/day since he didn't like milk...
my husband suggested to add a little bit of milk to the congee as milk contains much more vitamin. but i'm afraid that the taste would be v.strange...

o. start introducing pasta. is it made of egg yolk only but not egg white? husband is always v. concerned about the possible allergy from egg white, milk, peanut, etc... thus, baby has not tried egg yet.

my baby hated milk before he started eating cereal/congee. but in recent month, he seemed like milk more and drank more and didn't cry when drinking the milk.

i guess may be becoz he eats more and "open up" his stomach!
