betty, my mom used to knit a lot and make use of the left over wool for 百家被. she used those for a square (say 5 x 5) then stitches them up to become 百家(wool) 被 then make a 被袋 to cover them up. each of us got one of those and we still have that..
hey you could also do that in yr dream shop. sell wool in winter and fishing accessories in the summer time... so both u and "wai kor" have their own hobby /interest in the shop. :;pppp:
betty, those were the days lor, 3 of us did help as we had no where to go when we were young. so mom just throws us the needle, and we sit together to knit our own squares. kind of family activities back in the old days. ..... mom stitches them up...and we have our own blanket. not a big big one for adult . just for long enough for the teens.
2 yrs ago, i still saw that but mom re-stitches it to just 2 blanket now. one for herself and one for my sister ....
