Dear kittylock,

You bought the Big Talkabout Cards, didn't you? Are they worth the money $595?

Did you also buy the Big Talkabout Cards Teacher Notes as well, the one priced $55? Is it worth?

In fact, I am interested in both. But the Cards are too expensive, so I am considering buying just the Teaching Notes. Any suggestions or recommendations?

BTW, did you yourself teach your son Letterland? Do you have to practice the phonic skills with him? I cannot find a Letterland centre nearby. So, I am now considering buying some Letterland products and teach him myself. However, I doubt if I have the time and energy.

Any advice?

Sorry... some amendment... I've only bought the "Big Talkabout Card Teaching Notes" (not the card itself ah!!).

Got it from ETC at $53, black and white only, with a mini picture of the talkaboutcard at top left hand corner. This book is the supporting guide to the Big Talkabout Card (costs $595).

But my son still likes to read it as he can found more info of Kipper's family and their friends Wilf, Wilma, Annenna and Nadim.

btw, your son is now 7, why do you still buy the book for aged 2-5 ger?

Re: Letterland, I bought various materials from ETC and bid the books from UK ebay (incl CD-Rom, ABC book, wall frieze, magnets, cards, games, story books, at home readers, teachers' guide, magazines etc) and home-teach my son the name of letterlanders and it's sound.

After that I sent him to eng centre for more advance learning la.

= teaching material,
equally suitable for 2y / 5y / 7y.

O :-( for the Usborne readers then. But I haven't see them in Idxx before, and don't like searching for books in CW. ?-(

Thanks for your reply. It helps. I know there is no right or wrong way but just a suitable way for your own child when talking about education, it's still good to know what and how others are doing.

I think there should be no more 百事吉豆沙角 ga la.
Only available just before CNY ja. (around 2 weeks beforehand.)
Anyway I will look see whether there're still being sold or not. Eastern Siu Kei Yuen definitely has none unless you place special order, I think it was for at least 20 catties.

As overseas buyers, we can only pay by paypal. As the paypal account is linked with your designated credit card, so actually you pay by credit card finally.
