My husband always prefers convenience (when it comes to choosing hotels) because he is the cooley carrying two big suitcases while I take care of my son & his stroller! That's why even though it takes us to change from JR to subway for only 1 station, my husband may consider it troublesome!

I looked up Santa Present Park's website & saw the announcement. It also said they would announce when the facilities would reopen again. So we'd better check again when it gets nearer our dates of travel.

Wow, it's not too bad if it takes only 2 hours of driving between Sapporo & Furano (internet estimates 2.5hrs without traffic jam, I suppose). You are right, I have not included the time to wait for the train !

How come you can book Mahoroba for only 8,921Yen? My cost is 13,908Yen (japanese room) or 12,911Yen (western room) per person with 2 meals! Can you please share where you book it from? Directly with Mahoroba?
