我有asthma 底, so 我仲未咳完, mild cough + sputum(++ve), 好annonying...
Gabriel 就 lay down 至咳.. so nebulizer bed time +wake up.. 見到佢就辛苦

你就好啦，有aussie license，我因為birth cert. 冇英文名，但身份證有，佢最後reject 我register in Melbourne.最衰OET expired. And i have to resit the OET again and this time i won't send them my birth cert. and only send my ID card and passport. I hope i can reg. in aussie later. But now i have to work hard on my OET first.....

that is not a problem, my First name is not on my Birth certificate either!
You just need a letter from lawyer, provide that your given name has been given after you growth up.
I have that letter with me, because my first name (given name), was given by the sister (catholic school) when I was 6 years old.
You can make up a story if you don't have one.
but mine is real.
You must submit your birth certificate in order to complete you application! that is the requirement.
you can not miss it.
In Melbourne, I found the chinese lawyer, they charge only AUD$100?? about that.. and that save my time!

It is a common one.. why don't you get the one from La Trobe University program with CU. That one has better repretation.
Conversion means, you can study LESS credit/time. Not a 3 or 4 years Bachelor degree program because you redeem your credit from the nursing studies you got previously (RN to BSN). you may do it just 1.5 years or 2 years full time / 3 years or more for part time *depends on how many credit you do every semester*

Nillie_Mama, i'm not in Melbourne but i can still ask your lawyer in Melbourne to do so? By the way, the NBV said that they accept the first verification document and i can send them passport and i think it can be alright!
They're now protect the nurses in Melbourne so they set the requirement higher than before. They need the OET got all four subtests pass with 'B' in one sitting. I think my english can't be so good to get all in one sitting... but i'll try my best.

Oooo.. OET is something that I did not know about. As I was studying in University in Australia, they asked me for the IELTS over 7, that's it.
They won't care where you get the lawyer from, sure it will be better that the lawyer comes from Australia.
If you need more information about it, I could ask my friend for help, as I still have more than after of my colleagues live in Melbourne for good.
They can go and check the address and phone number for me. Just a trip to china town.

其實我是一個EN, 剛讀完 ouhk EN 轉RN 的轉換課程, 現在等個 RN 牌. 我想讀返個 Bechelor , 但 ouhk 個個要考試, 太大壓力. 看見廣告有個 Bechelor of Nursing (Conversion) 4科及最快8個月完成有點吸引. 請問你所提 La Trobe University program with CU, 我在 CU search 不到, 可否有詳細的 information

I was a graduate from La Trobe University. And I remember that every year, my professors will go to hk for all those lectures in CU. CU provide hotel hosting for them.
And also, when I was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital at 2003. The RN there, are taking the Course from La Trobe under Chinese University. therefore, I will post this message.
Sorry that I don't have more information about it. but I believe that you can ring up to Chinese university, faculty of nursing, and ask for more information!
I was a EN as well when I was in HK, I graduated from Tung Wah Eastern Hospital. Then, my class teacher and my principle became my referees, so I got a chance to study in La Trobe University located in melbourne.
Now, I am a nurse manage for the Asian program @ New york. Bachelor degree is the key point for a better and brighter future. Now, I have to prepare to do my master degree and this time.. lucky, my organization is going to pay for it. Work overseas, I bet that it is the best thing.. compare to work in hk. Boss pays continuing studies!

Nursing is a very meaningful job.
Since I came over to New York. I could say.. what I am doing, I wish to make a better future for my children (the old chinese folks..).
and I can see what I can make a difference for the chinese patients and seniors here because I can use my mother tongue to help!
Nursing ... is every body to rely on. I dare to say, every one must admit to hospital at least one (unless you were born at home.. haha). so nursing care is very important.
I am proud to see so many Nurses mami here.. no matter you are EN/LPN or RN or mid wife..
you are the best!
