KL,

The ACL reader sounds scary woh !
Can't they find more kiddy and peaceful books ?
Or do they go for shock tactics ?

Went to CWB CommPress last night. The Whimpy Kids books were along the pillar opposite to a "Membership reg counter". (cos buying over $500 ==> membership for 1y, 10% off).

Your daughter seems to perform v well during hard times. Maybe subconsciously she knows she has to be extra careful ==> no careless mistakes.

Piglet has started to dig out the HH books from the box set which KL bought for us ==> cos reading that is much more enjoyable than studying

Found a copy of Graphic Novel : Silverfin (Young Bond), in CWB CommPress last night, but the cover was creased and no more new copies, so didn't buy.

I think piglet's twin should enjoy that one too, plus the Alex Rider graphic novels, if he likes HH Spies.
Can lend him Stormbreaker and Point Blanc. Got a copy of Skeleton Key last night, so can also lend him this one after reading. Still trying to buy a copy of Silverfin.

O why are the graphic novels always soooooo expensive !!

Went to LeeGdn2 this afternoon and bought 12 books, ~HK$1000. Mostly HH and HS + 2 Sc Museum books.

Found I got 2 duplicate copies of HH :
Awful Egyptians, 5.99 pounnds x 13 x 80% = HK$62.40
HH Gory Stories - Raiders and Ruins, 4.99 pounds x 13 x 80% = HK$52

Anybody interested in taking them ?
(the above book px and conversion rate = from the BkShop in LeeGdns2)

Jun scared his classmates & their parents yesterday. We went to the park and while the kids are running around, I went to get some drinks. I was called to go back all of a sudden.

There were quite some people gathered around Jun. One of the parents had been pressing Jun's noise for 10 mins, trying to stop the noise bleeding, but didn't work. Blood dripped so fast and kept leaking from Jun's month! (That looked

!)

I kept on pressing Jun's noise for another 10mins, but no use. Finally I've to hold Jun with 1 arm and use the other to keep pressing his nose, walked to my friend's car and went to the hospital. (BS, the one opp your home)

I really hate that hospital, never give me good impression and experience. The hospital only offered us a plastic bag & several tissue paper but then asked Jun to walk from here to there to do all those registration, weightmeasuring and temp checking with blood kept dripping from his nose andmouth. Why can't these measures be take afterwards!

Maybe Jun, like piglet, nose bleeds whenever his head gets tooooo heated up.

We normally go to E Hosp for colds / flu when our doc is on leave / during weekends, not for emergencies. They are more used to handling adults than kids. Last time piglet cut his finger and went there, they handled it just like adult industrial injury.

re the Jap books web-order shop

They can help to order most books and mags from Jap. The website is in Jap language but fortunately Google provides a v good translator. The webshop is based in Mkk in a commercial bldg, and I've called to check something and the staff were helpful, and sensible, and were "young" ppl. So should be OK. Just pay by credit card like all net shops. I just used the ISBN to search for the book and the px was already quoted on the screen cos I think they used a simple conversion rate.

O, too bad. She didn't ask and I didn't press for anything. But she asked me for name, mobile and e-mail afterwards, "membership" woh. Anyway, a diff of ~HK$50, enough for another good book.......

Hi BS and Carly,

My kids were used to have bleeding nose very often when they are very small. But as they grow older, their situation improves a lot. I don't know why. Probably, BS' guess is correct. Their nose bleed easily when their heads' are very hot. They are not good at controlling their body temperatures when they are small.

Moreover, the bleeding is difficult to stop when their bodies are moving.

Yes, I will join. My classmates will book two tables that night. A lot of my teachers have retired already. Hope they will join too.
