Hi Moms
I saw you moms can speak Putonghua, can you recommend some popular websites in China or Taiwan which can let moms chat in the websites or exchange some parenting issues. Thank you very much !
I'm so happy to see this club. My girl is now 1yr old.
My maid and I speak English to her. And she will start her English playgroups soon. My husband and every one in the family speaks Cantonese to her.
But I'm not sure if I ask my husband to speak Taiwanese Mandarin to her. Coz I want her to speak mainly English and Mandarin.
How old are your kids? Will there be another gathering in April? I'd love to join! :-P
HoHomama and all,
It's great that we have more Mandarin speaking mums joining this community. (sorry again for my typing in English, i hope i can learn Chinese typing soon).
If we want outdoor activity, shall we go BBQ? e.g. in Shung Mun Reservoir near Tsuen Wan. If other prefers indoor activity, HoHomama's place is good and we had a great time last time. If you don't mind, you can also come to my clubhouse in Tsuen Wan. But then, I've to book the room which will incur cost: $20/hr/room (max 15 persons/room) and $25/guest (max $200). The property management office here is not as generous as that in HoHomama. :-(
BTW, my maid is going back to the Philippines during Easter, if you know any activities suitable for 1.5yr old BB, pls let me know. (I can't handle housework and my BB at the same time, so it's better to bring him out). :-P
Hohomama,
You are such a good mum and so well planned for your son's activities! If you know my son's name, you will find bbych2004 easier to remember. :-P
