"This is the worst possible case of murder and those who committed these offences are devoid of any element of human decency.
I assess the appropriate sentence to be a prison term of 37 years.
I would however give credit for the efforts of the respondent in improving himself, both in educational pursuit and his good performance during his detention.
I am prepared to give him a discount of 2 years from the sentence of 37 years."
