其實究竟佢哋明唔明d家長的concern ? For the school of course is not a problem cos, the teachers are need to stay in school from 8:00am to 4:00pm or later anyway.
However, for some of the parents, they need to rearrange their time table is very difficult especially for both parents which need to work. They need to find 1) someone to take care the kid during the morning hour, 2)changing their Lunch time, 3)delivery them to school, 4) pick up time is different, 5) changing their Dinner Time, 6) changing their Bed time, ....... etc.
After a year, they need to reschedule their life again cos Primary School life is different. Please consider they are only 5-6 years old kid.

Dear Parents,
There has been some concern regarding the K3 classes being moved to the P.M. session only.
We believe that this is the best option for the students.
Beginning in the next school year, the English team will fully implement a new curriculum.
Ms Pam and Ms Janifa have sourced and been fortunate to find the Multimedia English Language Series curriculum.
This series (known as MELS) was built based on the Montessori teaching approach.
We will encourage students to grow and learn through each developmental stage via four levels.
MELS is a curriculum course that is a comprehensive and an integrated English language series that features multiple components:
listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
MELS is specifically designed to encourage clear and thorough learning at each level, building the confidence of students, and preparing them for the next level.
It easily becomes a natural progression to move up each level.
The materials are consistent and familiar.
The teachers are consistent because they have a set curriculum to teach with the understanding of the progression of each level.
There will be 15 books in the Gold level for the K3 classes.
We know that in order for the K3 students to get the most out of the MELS curriculum and to be able to utilize all resources, we will need to move the K3 classes to the P.M. session and offer an optional extended session.
We do not want to hinder the learning of our curriculum by not having enough time to teach properly.
The optional extended session is also necessary because the Chinese teachers will still need the same amount of time to teach the Chinese curriculum.
Unlike other schools, Luk Yeung Kindergarten and Childcare Centre is very unique in offering six full-time, on site Native English Teachers to teach English lessons.
MELS will be taught by the Native English Teachers step-by-step because it has shown a more suitable and student-friendly learning pace for each and every child we teach.
The many resources and books available in the MELS curriculum can only enhance the teaching of the English curriculum.
After looking in depth at the MELS curriculum, we have devised a schedule that we believe will maximize learning English at each level.
We will have more books at each level.
At the Pre-Bronze and Bronze levels, there will be ten books for the N1 and K1 classes, respectively.
In the Silver level, there will be 12 books for the K2 classes.
There will be no changes in the sessions or time for N1, K1, or K2 classes.
There are many resources available not only for students, but also for teachers and parents, too.
We have made our decisions based on what we feel is best for the students’ learning and the future of their education.
We hope you can understand and support our choices and decisions.
Sincerely,
