Are u going to apply the China driving license ? If yes, you need to apply it ASAP cos it takes exactly one month to process it .

I am Miranda, since I am not yet received my computer from forwarder company. sorry I can not reply immediately. I already apply my phili maid go with us. I remember the address is Wanchai, 40/F. I forget the Bldg. name, 中橋樓上 is for 中國簽証. The vise valid date until to January 2006 (I apply on end of July 2005) The fee is HK$600. If you today monday give them Phili passport and one photo. Tomorrow after 1:00pm you can get the China Visa is for six months and one time or mulit go or from China. Please note DON'T GO TO 中旅社.

Hi tingting,

I buy insurance for my maid from Hang Seng Bank form internet have 20% discount off (until September 2005). half yr around HK$990-, it can stay in china 180 days, the surance including all medicial, accident or lost money, etc. My maid may be go back to HK apply the visa again at January 2006 by herself only. if can join with your maid together. Otherwise, I think we may be apply the extend maid's visa at January 2006. (if OK she don't need go back to HK again, since the air ticket so experience, but after end of January 2006, the insurance can not provide).
If she go back to HK apply the visa again and need to buy the insurance again for half yr.

Since yesterday, the policy changed. the max day for China visa is one month. I really don't know whether I should bring my maid to SH or not.

I call the agent as mentioned by M-Law. He told me that. :-( :-( :-(
Anyway, I plan to apply the visa one day before we leave and try whether I can extend the visa for her in SH or not.

Sorry for too late reply you, I am Miranda. I am in China now with my maid. My maid apply China visa for six months at Room 4008 China Resources Bldg., 26 Harbour Rd., Wanchai, HK. Tel: 28909698, just one day can completed the visa. The expire date is January 2006. The fee is HK$600. But I now tingting's mother find the other travel company the fee only HK$580. My maid will be extend the visa in China before the expire date. (But can not sure OK or not when January 2006).

Please don't go to the agent, the agent can not help me also.
