So your agent didn't return a copy each of the DH contract you and to your maid ? There should be an original copy for each of you.

What about your maid's passport ? Is it with the agent or with you ?

Can you try this old trick again to get back BOTH the passport and the DH contract :

Tell the agent you want to take the maid to China or Macau or any country for a trip, and that the maid has to look after your kids and belongings on the trip. So you want the passport back. And since your friends told you that according to their personal previous experience, you also need to take along an original copy of the existing DH contract (i.e. NOT a photocopy) to show to the Immigration Officer in China / Macau / the destination country AND when you return to HK. So you also want the original copy of the existing contract back.

Remember, don't just let the maid go to the agent to collect the passport and DH contract, you MUST go together with the maid to make sure you get them back. The agencies are likely to refuse to return the documents to the maid. But since they know that the employers in HK know that it is illegal for agencies to keep the maid's passport, usually the agencies will return the passport, and hopefully the DH contract, to you.

And your maid must confirm to the agent that you are planning to take her on a trip to xxxxx. (If agent is able to get maid to admit that you are just trying to get the passport and DH contract back, then no way they will return these documents to you. So your maid must be an equally good actress.)

2 years ago when the previous procedures for renewing DH contract without using agencies were first applied, the Indo Consulate was willing to supply certified true copies of phtocopied DH contracts, at a charge of a few hundred dollars. I am not sure whether this can still be done. If the above method of getting back the passport and DH contract doesn't work, you can try and call the Indo Consulate and ask. But then you need to have a PHOTOCOPY of the DH contract at least.

我想問若果工人臨尾檢身過唔到，咪續唔到約囉，你估會唔會咁邪呀 ??

我其實工人8月先完約，但我擔心臨尾"撻q"呀，因為我工人之前又話唔續，我請左新工人，佢又話續，已經蝕左$2800，若果最後同翻佢續，佢撻q我米死。

你個工人如果8月完約，而雙方確定續約，工人而家now4月去驗身，個驗身報告同醫生信到你7月8月去做自行續約一樣有效。
其實通常d工人驗身都ok的。除非驗到d乜野大病，至會醫生唔肯簽fit for work信。

我的意見是，你叫工人叫印尼戶主(老父或老公)，寄到封信同戶籍表過來，先至好去辦其他各項。這封信最麻煩。其他野你在hk搞，較易控制到。

但點解你個工人之前又話唔續，你去請左新工人，佢又話續？你最緊要搞掂這點。

你先去打電話給你相熟的律師樓，問清楚它們是否有公証律師notary public。若果無，叫佢地介紹一個俾你。律師樓會互相介紹的。

真係搵唔到先算。

我3月頭已經問佢續唔續約，於是比左一星期佢決定，佢話佢想續，但佢個仔(8歲)話唔比佢再續，要佢返印尼，於是我在3月尾申請左另一個工人，7月頭會黎hk，點知佢尋日又話佢同個仔傾點數，真係比佢玩死。

我依家個工人做野唔錯，揍仔都唔錯，所以我可能撻訂都要請返佢囉。因為已經蝕左2800元，所以我想幫佢自己續約，省返d錢囉。

我想問若比工人放假返印尼，機票要多少錢呀 ?? 因為我仲要計下要洗多幾多錢呢。

Like in my case, my maid is from Surabaya,
according to yesterday's Cathay Pacific website,
One HK-->Surabaya-->HK direct flight return air ticket = $2750 + $300 taxes, security and gas surcharge, this is special rate for commencing trip between 17 Apr to 30 June, valid for up to 2 months.

If your maid is from Jakarta, Cathay Pacific direct flight airfare is even cheaper, $1600 + $300 for HK-->Jakarta-->HK.

And employer gets 2000 Asia Miles. But maid doesn't get any.

Check the special fare for maids from the Cathay Pacific website la.
No need to find a travel agent for the air ticket tim.

自己續約同agent續約手續有無不同? 但如果差幾佰會唔會比agent賺無咁煩呢?

搞續約時,首先叫佢家人寫信,后e生信,再自己填form,對嗎?
