我會7月去kk, 唔係買package (怕暑假無位),所以我同agent 買機票, then自己直接打電話去shangri-la hk reservation (tel: 2331 6688) 訂rasa ria酒店, 他們可即時告訴你有無房, 你不妨打電話問吓計吓數, 可能$差不多架.

If you just want to book hotels in K.K. , you can book on line with Air Asia (www.airasia.com) instant confirmation. The rates (include buffet breakfast) are much cheaper than HK agents. I tried booking with Air Asia. Everything is quite alright.

Thanks for your info. At last Hong Tai has confirmed my booking today(after my effort to "chase" them). May be next time I'll try airasia as its much cheaper.

I can't remember exactly but it should be around 15-20 minutes (from the pier outside Magellen Hotel to Sapi Island). It depends what boat you're on. The tour operator has speed boat which is faster or medium sized boat which is slightly slower. There are safety jackets on the boat so I don't think it's dangerous. Unless the sea is rough otherwise I won't think of taking medicine to prevent vomiting.

The pier outside Magellen hotel has a lot of fish that you can feed but of course you will not be able to touch them as you're not in the water. The Magellen hotel beach is very small, nobody swim or feed fish there.

I just back from KK and we lived at Magellan Sutera.
The beach was so small and it has a warning sign saying that the beach may have Jelly Fish.

The water at Sapi Island is not clear. The town also has nothing to see.

If you live at Magellan Sutera, see if you can request to live at Marina Wing. We live at the other wing which was so far far away from the pool. We have to walk at least 5-7 mins which is quite tired.

My personal opinion, I would prefer to stay at Nexus or Shangri-la (the one further away from town) next time.

I have played降落傘 with my son. He did not cry at all. Have fun.

Dear all,

I plan to go to KK with my 5-year old son and hubby by late July for 6D5N. I will stay at Nexus for the first 3 nights and STAR for the remaining 2 nights.

Any recommendations of itinerary, must-go places and must-try food etc?

PS. My son will celebrate his birthday at KK this year ah.
