If I really did something wrong, I won't be dare to complain.
I am stressed as I did do all the things. e.g. give holidays, contract wages, sign receipts but the maid can still trapped my family. Then, I have to spend time and afford to handle it.
She can even write me a letter by saying that I didn't give her food, place to sleep, holidays. I am a working mom, I really have no time to play with her! But, I can't just give $$$ to settle. If not, more maids will use similar method and more HK people will be suffered. That's why I have to insist even so stressful.
You know what, I heard that it is the characters of Indoesnians as they did the same to the Chinese over their country and they try to apply it here!
BTW, I am going to have settlement meeting next week. Anything that I should be aware of?
However, I called the labour dept and it is just the settle meeting (conciliation meeting).
In case the maid doesn't agree with something, should I prove it or should I wait till it brings to court? I just worry if I show the prove, she may think of other excuse! You know, how smart they are la!
What will the officer do during the meeting? I asked and she said no interpreter will be provided. If so, should I allow the maid bring along an interpreter? Just worry the interpreter is the "union" staff.
I am currently pretty busy to gather all kinds of proofs.
