Angie is on antibotics for 10 days too! Her fever is gone now but some kind of rash is developed on her skin now...all over her front and back of the body and her head too. I need to take her to the doctor AGAIN! She's definitely not being herself this week. Luckily I haven't start work yet.
I took your advice and gave her diluted apple juice during meals. She likes it and more willing to drink. Her appetite still not coming back yet. I'm glad I can still nurse her while she's sick.
Yeah...I'll start working next Tuesday at the place we talked about before. As I said it's temp to perm. If it doesn't work out, I can stay home again or look for another PT job law~ I keep looking gar~
Hi all,
I have not been here for a long time. How are you and your little one doing? I heard from Zic that the speed of baby-kingdom impoved a lot. That's very good.
My boy turns 2 at June and my little girl is almost 7 months. Time flies.
Little fat man, how are your little matt?
Natmama, are you working now?
Jenny, your daughter is very pretty.
So good to "see" u here again in BK! Time flies really, your little girl is already 7 months! u must be enjoying your "GOOD" combination a lot! Send us some of your babies' photo ah!
Zic,
Let's continue to chat here about our babies and HK.... Where will u live back in HK? We have some places in mind but of course "ten horizontal lines without one curve"....
Karina does not like eating AT HOME! That means she is eating OK at nanny's home. She has not gained any weight last month and her weight dropped to 3 percentile already [size=large]HELP!
Muimui,
Glad to hear from u everything is OK with your family, and u could even take a nap with Alex! How's work? Mine is extremely busy recently..... Good that my boss is traveling next week again!
Nillie,
How are u and your big tummy? Take care and see if little bear will come to celebrate X'mas with u or not!
;-) How is your baby's hearing? Ask an audiologist! ;-)
Good to be back to the "fast" BK! How are u all doing?
Karina just shared an "unique" experience with me (and not with daddy! ) last week, when my hubby was not at home for 5 days. Day 1 - slight fever, days 2-3 fever, crankiness (really not like her at all) and did not sleep and eat well. Day 4-5 rashes (very ugly lei.... ) Day 6 when daddy came back, all back to normal !
The reason? Roseola... nothing serious but just challenging. The night when all the rashes came, I stared at her with worry (had not seen the doc at that time, so I did not know what's going on), and she stared me back, like asking "what's wrong with YOU?"
;-) How is your baby's hearing? Ask an audiologist! ;-)
Well, Angie's sickness messes up her sleep. She wanted more cuddling since she got sick. I took her to her pediatrian today and she said Angie got baby measles (Roseola: pink, spotty rash) due to the fever. I've read it's contagious so she's staying home. Her rash should go away after 2-3 days. On top of all that, she's teething too! Man...how come so many things happening at the same time!!! I hate to see her sick and miserable. I haven't seen Angie laugh for a week la :-( :-( :-(
Since Angie was sick, we cancelled our trip back to San Francisco to visit my parents. They are a bit disappointed but they want us to stay home so all of us can get some rest too.
Just posted my message and found that Karina has roseola too! Angie has it as well. I found out 2 days ago and her doc told me it'll be gone soon. No need to worry about. I hope that she'll be back to normal very soon. She hasn't been laughing for many days even we're trying to play her favorite games with her.
Thanks!! I hope so too! And I know that Angie's teething too so she'll bite into whatever stuffs she can reach. It affects her sleep as well. Don't know how long the teething will last. I already see the edge of the teeth la! I can't wait to see Angie with her firsth tooth lei~
Shiba,
Don't worry about your little's weight. When babies start to walk, they will gain weight slowly than before. As long as they are healthy, gain little weight is not a problem.
I heard after getting roseola, the eczema will go away. I hope that will be the case for karina. Nat hasn't gotten roseola before but her eczema got better as she got older. I bet it was hard to deal w/ her for the entire week while she was sick. Mommies are so "wai dai"
Angiema,
Hope all works out at your new job. I can't wait to see you and your family next month. I am glad angie likes the diluted juice. You don't have to put too much juice...just give her a little bit of taste to trick her
Greentree,
I have been doing part time work for almost 6 months now. I work 15 hours a week at a local firm managing their accounting system. I really enjoy the time at work and getting some freedom back. Natalie is 27 months now and talks all the time. My grandma watches her when I work and they enjoy the companies of each other. How are you two little ones doing? Send me some pictures when you get a chance. Take care
I also heard the pets will know first when there is a natural disaster. Just like when they had tsunami in asia, the elephants all ran up the hill. Anyways, it's good the quake didn't affect you too much and Alex handled it well. You know for your weekend work hours, they are suppose to pay you 1.5 your hourly rate. If you are on salary, they should comp you the time your spent on the weekend so u can take some days off on regular days. If childcare is an issue, you can be honest w/ your employer. Maybe they can arrange only 1 weekend per month to accomodate. Good luck.
don't worry!
i hv a friend who was also told that her bb might hv problem (a serious problem related to the spine; even much worse than the low IQ problem) after she had the AFP blood test at 16-17 week pregnancy.
she's a very optimistic and clam person but she's shocked and cried and worried when she got the call from the doctor.
however, lots of people in our church prayed for her and the baby. after she had done the same procedure as yours ("extract the water from your tummy to do the test to confirm", sorry don't know how to say the medical term), it's confirmed that the bb is ok. now her bb is already 1 and very healthy.
another similar case to yours from my ex-nanny - she also said she had her second boy when she had the ring on. her boy is 30 now and healthy too.
don't worry too much! just do the test to confirm and pray!
Natmama,
I am so glad you enjoy your back to work life. I agree with you that when we get some freedom back, it is really good. I also enjoy my back to school life. My son is 28mons now. He is talkative too. He likes reading and watching TV. I will put some photos when I have a chance.
Nillie,
I enjoy hot pot, let me know when you have the time.
Zic,
I really enjoy the pumpkin pick trip. Thank you very much!! And take good care of your leg, ok?
Netjayne,
Don't worry! Like SY-mom said, I have a co-worker has a similar experience. OB told her that her bb might have problem. We all prayed for her and she has faith too. Finally, her bb is ok. Let's pray!! Hope everything with you will be ok!!
