weather forecast says it's gonna be bad overnight and some places would get 6" snow.
our place is all white already!

my area is all white too, kids are happy and excited, but i am worry about walking/driving on snow. kids went to the garden to play with snow after dinner, they hope they will get more snow to make a big snowman tomorrow. I am just thinking the opposite, hoping for nice weather.

you are lucky you don't need to work tomorrow, my hubby is worrying driving on snow, he has to drive to London to work.

the snowman is tiny, we just let them play for 10 mins only becos it is freezing outside.

Does your hubby usually keep anything for emergency in the car ga? My hubby always carries a flask of hot water, some old & warm clothes and some biscuits and chocolate (and many mor things...) in the boot. Today as soon as he knew snow was going to be bad, he took a spade into the boot as well. He said he'd seen too many breakdowns on the road and always wants to be prepared for the worst.

your hubby is very wise, prepare for the worse. my hubby doesn't keep anything for emergency, sometimes he has some biscuits in the car and that's all. I should give him some food+water+a blanket to put in the car, just in case.

Yes, you should. In case the car breaks down (touchwood) in this kind of weather, you're not the only one and no roadside assistance would come in less than 2-3 hours ga!

Really lucky you, no need to work tomorrow morning. The snow here is still quite heavy. I've just seen a car lost control and slipped to the road side. It's really dangerous and my hubby was so scared he might hit our car!

because the road is very slippery. I already told Trevor that I won't drive tomorrow morning, and if the weather is like that in the evening, we will just give the tae kwon do lesson a miss. Hope he understands me la.

It's just he has to be on the road all the time, so he is too worried about breaking down, esp now with the little one ~ his emergency supplies can probably keep us going for 1 day easily!

If I need to start at 8 tomorrow, we probably need to leave at 7.30 for a normally 15 mins drive as snow on small roads are bad and the car skids easily. This afternoon, a car came into our street (a cul-de-sac) to turn around and I thought the driver was trying to do a stunt (as I actally saw the back of that car springing onto one side as the driver steered to reverse!) There would have been an accident if hubby hasn't checked b4 reversing from the driveway onto the road!

But I need to work from 5pm tomorrow evening and it would probably be freezing cold when hubby comes and fetches me home...

the road is well slippery!! we just got home and i almost wet my pants (oops..sorry but cant express my feelings!),..it took us 2hrs drive fm croydon to my place which normally took us 35-40mins!! Hoba needed to drive 10m/hr !!! and need to enroute the normal way home which avoided most up hills & down hills, deflate the tyres....but our car still lost control twice.. i was so regret we should go home early tonite!!! even siuwa said 'i dont like snowing now' with her tearing eyes!!

And now hoba is sitting by the window watching the cars on the dual carridge way.. many cars stuck, lost control, ambulance standby here...just worried about how the drivers drive their cars now...

riko, i seldomly take kids to playground or park on my own gar..coz i cant bear to watch them climb up those climbing frames... . i always worry they wl fall down... may be there is a bad memory for me while i was a kid.. a friend of mine fell down fm the monkey bar and hit on the ground, she lost her front tooth and bleeded badly...
