Yes,we are living in Hong Kong and have no plan to go back to Aus. We are planning to put Arthur to all local schools. The different appearance does not bother me at all but my mom do have concern about it. I don't really care what other people said because it is difficult to tell them shut them. Anyway, you are that we will do our best to protect our kid.

I think it really depends, there are scambags all over the world

My in-law are fine because they were mixed couple anyway (Jewish + English). My hubby's brother also marry a Chinese lady. Nevertheless, my mom was not happy when we got married because they can hardly communicate. Honestly I had the feeling that Chinese people are strange because they tend to treat Gweilo better than the Chinese. My hubby said it is a positive racism.

hi ChristiE媽,
Currently I am at Vancouver. Yes, I can tell you it is very different feeling compare to live in Australia. In here, everyone speak with different accent and they dont really care as long as you speak something. NO one will look you down by that. Yes, racist people everywhere, but I think Australia has most and they only like British/American accent. My hubby has American accent and they treat him as their friends. In school, you can easily see local students and overseas students are always have different social circle.
In here, I can see people with accent can also work at management position while in Australia, it is only for "white" people.

I never regret to give up Australia as it is not the ideal place for Asian people.

As I said before, in here everyone is mix blood, so no one really pay attention where you come from as long as you love hockey. Yes, in countryside racist still exist but in Vancouver, Chinese is very powerful and in many situation, the govt has to bribe Chinese to get the votes. My husband even says it is proud to be Chinese as everyone respect us here.

Yes, plenty Aussie here as we have stronger economy and can easily switch to work in USA once you are resident. You know living in a new country is not just dealing with your family and relatives. We need to work and meet people and I think I make a right choice.

我聽日去檢查，之後要每兩星期睇一次，不過我多數檢查完都會返公司，因為無請假的！你幾時得閒呀？

I have the same card too, Conrad is the place I go to all the time, have not tried J.W. Marriott though. I don't mind HK side either because I will be finished work that day at 1pm in Wanchai.

Seems most mom wants afternoon tea. OK, let's stick with that. Before some mom wants to stay in TST, that's why I was looking at TST area for afternoon tea buffet. Here's some choices, if in TST Hotel :
Nikko has, A$158 C$98 +10%. Offers HSBC, HANG SENG, BOC Platinum credit card 10% discount.
I heard Sheraton's is quite good A$168 C$84 +10%, offers HSBC, BOC, AX Platinum credit card 15% discount.Both I never tried.

Can all mom stated next to their name where they preferred, let's not have too many choices either TST or Admiralty, OK?
