Hi buddies,

My daughter just told me that she got a distinction (135 marks) in her ABRSM percussion G5 exam. But she left her comment sheet at school. so I cannot know what the comments are. According to her earlier, she has played something wrong during the exam. Moreover, she never practices formally at home as we do not have the space to house another big xylophone and drum set. She just beat on her little drum pad, her desk, on the dinning table, on the mooncake tins, here and there,... with her drumsticks. So, quite surprising that she got a distinction at the end.

Last year, she took the G3 exam, just 129 marks, just 1 mark less before she could get a distinction. She told me she's determined to take Grade 7 exam next year. (maybe +ve reinforcement??) She is so serious at it. I may need to find a studio for her to practice then. Anyways, I am happy for her as it is her own achievement. She made it herself!!

That's a vvv good result, considering that she got something wrong tim.

So don't complain that she is always beating here and there, and un sun un sai. She will be doing more of that in the near future.
