Hi everybody! I am new. I am glad to have this forum so that we can support each other.
I have been waiting for 4 months. Whilst 4 months may be quite short, I am getting old (34 yrs old already) so I am quite nervous. I know I ought to rely on God coz he will give us the best thing. But sometimes, I feel struggling if I should seek help from doctors coz God may use them to help me. Anyway, I will keep praying for this. May God bless all of us to have peace and faith in HIM.

Venus, Thanks! The tablets I had for 9 months was issued by infertily centre but need to c the nurse everytime I need. It'll the 1st time I can c the doc there. Don't know by then will be my hb or his mom w/me there. Sure they will have a word to the doc & nurse again! lol

唔好意思,小小經驗分享,我開始看醫生時,醫生都有開排卵藥我食,當時醫生建議我食6個cycle,因為排卵藥不能長期食用,不可超過一年。

同時,排卵藥有好的效果和不好的效果,好的就是按時排卵,不好的就是令子宮內膜變薄,而我則是不好的效果,最後我要做iui啊!希望這些資料幫到你。

Venus, Thanks for yr advice. U r right. My sis already warned me can't have the 排卵藥 more than 1 yr. They issue me 排卵藥 every 3 cycles. When I finished 9 cycles of 排卵藥 The infertily nurse told me that's max dose for me. So I need wait c doc.
I bought the ovulation test which shown I had ovulation after the tablets but just can't pregnant. :( May be too old...my body

I want to ask you how did your doctors find out your ovulation problem, by blood testing? How about the basal temp record, dose it hlep? I asked that because my doctor never asked to do any blood test (except when I was having the ivf treatment).

Kelly and Venus, which doctors are you with, as my husband and I may want to change to see Dr Tung for the next treatment.

smileynemo, welocome, have you tried to use David ovulation tester to find out the right time to DODO?

Hi all,

YimYee, for my case, I had lots of blood test done and the main one which tells if one is ovulating is the ( 黃體銅激素」(progesterone) and should be done on day21 (for regular cycle of 28days); if your cycle is not regular, it is suggested to be done 7 days before your period. I had mine done on day 23, 25, etc. But my reading is so low. I had a 2. That means I am not ovulating myself at all. But this level does varies every month. I had a reading of 15 one time which is consider to be ok level (not great i guess). Anyway, that's why my dr. prescribed clomid for me.

This link gave you all the details and name of test to be done.
Day2, tests are LH, FSH and E2 and prolactin.
i.e. 黃體生成激素」( luteinizing hormone)及「卵泡激素」(Follicle Stimulating Hormone), 「催乳激素」(prolactin) 。Too high of prolactin can cause infertility 2.

Day21, P4 i.e. 黃體銅激素」(progesterone), too low means no ovulation occurs.

There are some other hormone level that I was being checked too. Like Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), too high or low affects fertility too.

Venus and Kelly, keep praying for you. No more bleeding as such and babies sticking there all the way!

Smilenemo, top what YimYee said. Try those ovulation tester and find the best time to do it!

基本我我起初睇醫生時,已經驗左血,包括fsh,lh,催乳激素等,一切都ok,但我沒有在d21驗血,因為我開始睇醫生和食排卵藥後,cycle好長,成四十幾日,有時都唔知會幾時來m,這是排卵有障礙的一個好明顯證明。我的dr不建議我量體溫,dr認為這是壓力的來源。但因我睇他時,已經養成量體溫的習慣,所以我當時還keep住量,加上d仔,都會check到幾時排卵,但排到的時間已經三十幾日,dr話粒卵已經很老,不易受孕了,所以一定要做iui。

現在我睇緊dr tay,我覺得他很好,很有耐心,每次看症都願意花很長時間,我記得我第一次睇佢時,起碼見左成45分鐘。你說你將會睇dr tung,我在網上看到別人給她的comment都不錯,既然決定找她,就不如按你和你老公的計劃啦!以我所知,dr tay的新症都排到10月了,我估與dr tung的時間差不多吧!

Hi Pigpiglau & YimYee & All,
I have been charting my basal temperature to find the suitable day for 4 months. In addition to it, I did try different ovulation test (mentholatum and clearblue) but both of them showed no signs. I also visited the chinese doctor to build up my body.
Anyway, I have booked Dr. Tay today and scheduled an appointment in mid Aug. The nurse said that I can get this slot coz another patient suddenly cancels the appointment. I am really lucky! I will keep on praying and I am sure God has his plan on me! Keep up and hope we can have the good news soon!

Thanks for your reply, my period is always regular, 28 to 32 days, I have shown my basal temp to the dr, I think I did some blood tests before when I visited the Family Planning Ass, I did not sure what they were for. I guess related to my ovulation, I have seen quite a few infertility doctors so fari, noone supects me with the ovluatling problem. I should be fine, right?

smileynemo, have you used d仔 to check your ovulation? It is much cheaper than Clearblue ones. Have your husband done the sperms test? If not, maybe you can do it while you are waiting to see Dr Tay.

I booked Dr Tung yesteday, have to wait till early Nov, as I want to go to her clinic not the hospital.

Hi YimYee, Sry for late reply. My case was my hb brought me to GP to ask about why I can't pregnant nearly 2 yrs after my miscarriage. As my age problem ;) GP transferred me to c infertility nurse and had blood test. Blood test shown I didn't ovulate so they started issue me 排卵藥. Cuz I need back HK for my sis' wedding, I booked her doc to have a check up as well. She taught me how to do the temp daily. I start the tablets & record temp after bk to UK.
Her doc taught me to take basal body temp as soon as I wake up in the morning & b4 eat, drink... & record the temp as a dot in a chart.(Start a new chart on 1st day of menstruation) If the temp keep staying high weeks after ovulation then may have luck for bingo.
I would say the temp record is really good. I use the ovulation test when my temp drop to lowest, when it's up again, the test shown +ve. The temp will keep in high level for 2 weeks(I want longer! :D) When the temp drops like a slope then that's my bad day as M will visit me again on next day! :((

Venus, Thanks for your information. In fact, I also heard about overcooked eggs problem. And my case is very similar to yours. I ovulated very late even when I am on clomid and my cycle is going wild. Today is CD17, scan and nothing whatsoever...... so I guess this won't be the month. Can you tell me is it your 1st IUI? Sorry you might have mentioned it b4 but I have overlooked. Have your spotting stopped?

Kelly, how are you feeling, hope your spotting has stopped there too.

Smileynemo, Great that you got into the line so quickly with Dr. Tay. he is brilliant. If your temp. show no ovulation then it is best to consult the specialist. I ovulate most of the months but my cycle is very long and irregular and it is obviously that I ovulate at very late of the cycle as well.

Hi Ladies, my husband did check his body and he's absolutely normal and I did my check earlier and I am normal too. For my basal temperature, it did show ovulation but I didn't understand why the tester couldn't tell. Probably, the lutein level was not high enough to be tested. I am thinking to use "d" tester but today is day 22 already and there're still 8 days to go. I will wait and see.
I am glad that I can have my appointment with Dr Tay scheduled so early. Also, I am seeing a Chinese doctor. She said my health is good so far and I just need to be patient. Probably, patience is the greatest lesson that God wants me to take.

我有個朋友有多囊,但排卵藥對她有效,但d仔都係check唔到,結果她在排卵日附近去找dr,dr又真的看到她就排卵,最後dr做iui,當然她還在努力中呢!

另外,我這兩天仍有流啡,我發覺在我打了第一支安胎針時,當晚有流啡/血的情況,隔幾日後,第二支安胎針後亦是這樣,唔知有冇關係,有些少擔心,明天會見dr,希望有辦法解決。
