Be honest, if I have a maid and I don't have to share the bills, I think being a full time mum is great.

I'm seriously thinking about becoming a teacher. But I don't have time to take courses. Too bad!

Hi pig,

after giving birth, you can buy a bicycle at home. I think it can help. I bought one for less than £50 jeh. I's just too lazy to use it, but I believe it works.

I'm not sure I can transfer to part time, but it's easy for a mother to get a part time job in the UK.  In my department, 2 coworkers are part time.  Also I met some women from training courses, who quited their full time jobs and got part time jobs after the maternity leaves had been ended.

I think working in the UK is good, as my friends who work in the states said, my job is very relax wor. <of course la, I got very low salary mar>

yeah I know 1 yr is very short but at least better than 3 months.

I did think about being a FT mum but cannot afford it financially. If I stop working for more than a yr, I don;t think I can go back to my professional as the technolofy change very quickly and we have to keep up all the time.

sometime found it a bit tiring.

but am sure I will only come back and do PT but not FT.
perhap 3 days a weeks. will see how things go.

I am hoping that my hubby can work flexi and go to office only 4 days a wk. if this is the case, he can look after bb 1 day a wk and we only have to send bb to nursery for 2 days a wk and he can spend more time with mummy and daddy.
will see how

Have you talked to your company about your plan of being part time?  If you takes 2 days, your hubby takes 1 day, Then who will take care of your baby for the 2 days ;How long are you going to have the maternity leave ar? 1 yearor only 9months?

係就係, 不過我都驚萬一第時老公份工唔惦咁我地就好麻煩, 所以都係需要兩個人做野, 除非儲左好多錢啦, 不過我諗都要過多好多年lu....

湊bb呢個問題真係好麻煩, 我就係因為諗唔到點好先返hk, 你都好, 老公係uk, 我老公成日出trip, 如果得我一個係uk真係唔知點算!

I will see if I need one after I give birth. too early to buy myself anything now as I still haven't start buying stuff for bb. think have to start my shopping for bb. perhap next weekend or early may.

haven't told my company re the part time arrangement but shouldn;t be a problem as I am not the only PT employee anyway and they are lack of resources so better have a PT rather than having me resign,

the rest of the day will have to send bb to nursery lor..
no choice. my in law did offer to look after my kids if we move back to Singapore but we have no plan to move back for the time being.

yeah its hard to look after bb alone if yr hubby is not around most of the time

my ex colleague had to look after 2 kids on her own 5days a wk as her hubby work in France between mon to fri.
I don;t understand how she managed it.

咁妳估當博聞讀小學時, 妳地會返到嚟HK定居嗎? 妳而家有無教佢中文呀? 不過妳暫時都唔駛急住, 仲有好幾年時間比妳計劃.

相反我而家巳開始幫亞哥諗報咩小學比佢, 因為第時細佬多數跟埋哥哥同校, 如果將來佢的功課有問題, 我都可以要QUIT咗份工, 幫手教佢呢!

呢排忙到我cc下呀! 我今個星期training, 日日都要ot, train我個人都黐線架, 日日都搞到差唔多兩點先可以食lunch, 9-2一個break都無, 連飲水時間都無!

好快咁食個lunch又繼續train, 一路直到夜晚, 又係飲水去toilet時間都無, 個人真係變態! 今晚因為太晏都無得食晚飯, 餓到胃痛!

呢個week日日都係咁, 我諗我就來胃病喇!

我諗我公司永遠都唔會有msn, 除非我第時裝到mobile msn係手提啦...

only 9 more wks before my last day at work but very busy recently as we had a very troublesome project with deadline in June.

my last day at work will be 13 june. am thinking to move it forward to 6 June but not sure what should I do for those time staying at home as my EDD will be 21 Jul.

bb should be a boy.

haven;t buy anything for bb apart from a bb bible.

will do all the shopping in coming wks (perhap in May as will be less busy by then.. hopefully

hard to say ar. But recently, I knew a friend who has tips to admit to good schools in HK. Actually she gave up her the states' citizenship just because let her daughter went to a good school in HK.
But my hubby doesn't care where she studies kum.

Then which school you are interested in ar? Now Lucas is studying in Kowloon Tong? Do you need to move for admitting a good school for him ar? I'm thinking, if I really want her to study in HK. Do I need to choose a school before finding an apartment ne? Ho fan ne!

Don't say about teaching her in Chinese. She doesn't even say a, c, d..... , colors, numbers. I gave up at this moment la. Since she is not smart and cannot concentrated in 1 subject, I considered to transfer to part time jeh.

poor you! Why they don't have refreshment ka? I though you are working in the UK company tim.
I could eat and drink at the time I was in training. the down side was I gained weight.

How about could you leave office on time? How could you manage to take care of QQ ar?
