Halo cutecutetown!! I had failed for my last ivf last year dec. I just do the FET on 26/3 n have 1500 Pregnyl injection, n 1 more time On 31/3. I just checked with Clearblue today. It's is it a fake result u think??
P.s. My period is not coming yet.

Hi Cutecutetown, I started my IVF early this month. Up till now, my doctor has never told me my FSH rate, and he only mentioned that it's within the range. From your experience, is that normal of not telling clinent their FSH rate? I know I can do nothing with the figure so when I think of this, I will "persuade" myself that the doc tried not frightening me and that's why he dare not to disclose the rate.
My doc also said that he will transfter D3 embryo instead of D5 as there's no different. In case the development at D3 is not good, will the transfer still taken place of postpone to D5?

Haha, why are you so desperate to know your FSH number? It's just a number, and it varies slightly each month. As long as your dr said it's within the range, there is nothing to worry about.
To give you a rough idea, we only look at that 'magic' number to see whether it is above or below 10 (or 12 in some centre's). Anything below 10 means your ovaries will probably respond ok to ivf drugs; for FSH>10, your ovaries may not produce too many eggs by ivf.
There are many other factors important in doctor's decision-making, FSH is only one of those many.
For embryo development, if embryos are not too good on day3, postponing to day5 may further reduce the number of 'ok' embryos. While I believe it is the incompetent embryos declaring themselves, not too many (doctors or patients) can accept in case there is no good embryo on D5.
hello cutecute town....i have been have a very bloated tummy for the last couple of days and i can feel my tummy is full of air and at times after meal my tummy has expanded and cannot contract. i have problem with my pants especially jeans as it seemed that i can no longer fit in jeans. i am not sure whether it's becos of previous IUI and now IVF and with the injection that made my tummy expanded after food. when i try to press it was like gas my tummy is quite stiff too. it's driving me nuts as i still have to wait till next monday to do blood test to check whether bingo or not. should i try to test myself this week and if so which day?

It's difficult for me to tell why you feel bloated; maybe you are anxious & having some indigestion, or it could be a mild form of OHSS. See if your doc needs to see your condition. Sometimes they may just ask you to eat some proteins (eggs, lean meat, fish, etc).
Because you had 安胎針on Sunday, you should not check bingo yet as the 驗孕棒will for sure be positive. Be patient, do not 偷步& wait till 16/4。

Try to stay away from deep-fried and greasy food; also avoid garlic, onion, and beans. Keep your meals simple, e.g. steamed fish/eggs/chicken + leafy vegetables. Eat some yogurt if you are ok with yogurt.
Of course, if you are very sick and nauseated, go to a doctor.
Thanks cutecutetown, yes maybe I should stop consuming oiling food. I must admit that I do love garlic and oily food maybe this is the caused. Some JM in BK said if you are bingo with twins you may check in day 9 to see if you are bingo. But your recommendation is still stay away from testing?
The lab called me yesterday saying that I have 3 embryos that can be freeze so I agreed to keep them frozen. Is there a time limit of how long we freeze the 3 embryos? If I'm so lucky to pregnant this time, don't think I can really preg again till late next year.
It is not a matter of whether you have twins or not; you have had 安胎針 which is essentially HCG (1500IU). HCG remains in your blood for a relatively long time compared to other hormones and it is also the hormone-of-interest when checking bingo. This is why jm's should not check bingo earlier than advised; having a false positive can be devastating.
I take it as a good sign that you have 3 more embryos frozen. As long as the embryos are frozen, they can stay frozen "forever". The only limit is for how long you want to keep them; according to the regulations in HK, you can keep them in storage for up to 10 years. Even so, some centres may only store up to 6 years. After the said time period, the centre will have to discard them.

Regarding the three frozen embryos surely will keep them for at least a year or more just that storing them is not cheap lor, it cost 5k for 6 months only storage. But the good thing is I don't have to undergo the pain of retrieving eggs again. Hope to have the chance to share good news one day!
