Thanks for your information. I have some echo after reading these articles.
1) Article 1 & 2 (1st author)was written by optometrists , vision training should have conflict to their interest. And, the paragraph you quoted here:
Remember: no type of eye exercise can improve a refractive error or cure any ailment within the eyeball or in any remote part of the body. If you are considering a vision training program, request a written report detailing the problem, the proposed treatment plan, an estimate of the time and costs involved, and the prognosis. If the plan is not targeted toward a specific visual problem (such as amblyopia), or if it includes a broad promise such as improving I.Q., forget about it. If you are not sure what to do, invest in a second opinion, preferably from a university-affiliated practitioner.
It's just a comment of the authors and based on no research background. I think they can only conclude that "there is no evidence supporting the effectiveness of vision training in this moment, NOT just make this comment without any research support.
2) Article 3 was published in 1956 before we came to the world
Personally, I can't believe why we cannot reverse myopia as we are not borned to be short-sighted. Especially when it is not very severe. One statement in the article: The refraction of our eyes changes as we grow older. I think it can be worse, it can be better.
It's all just my personal opinion.
