nanny stays with alvin at home and 99 goes to work early morning. so i have to drop the kids off to school in the morning. c6 asked me to stay home but i have the feeling that it is super hard to ask him for $$. :cry:

aiya...not that lucky la. c6 is the one in a million traditional chinese man who thinks mom has to live with him in order to survive....99 does do most of the food shopping naw.

yes, most of my chinese friends here are either in accounting or engineering. but i also hv a girlfriend in marketing and very successful. i couldn't believe it when i read the online article that she's now the director of the global marketing division or something at a very big investment bank. she didn't even get her degree in US. she got it from HK instead. but both her husband and she worked really really hard and long hours every day. when she just came to SF, she just worked in marketing for a small local bank. now ... i couldn't believe it!

who knows ... ? maybe u can excel in the marketing field too! since both yr husband and u have parents in here, u could be more focused on yr career if they're able to help taking care of yr kids.

c6 worked in operation about 4-5 years too, he used to work in a investment bank and now for HF or somehthing like funds of funds (too complicated for me) I think he wants to take the exam too but then no time wo, But I just think he is just lazy, hehehe, but I saw the book..... it's a lot though

我冇買股票ah,实在冇時間研究.不過我都有participate 401k.但我d 401k仲升緊bor.係咪你choose d funds唔得,定個plan overall funds都弱呀?你係用咩strategy揀ga?我本身揀2隻好aggressive嘅funds (based on佢monthly, annual同5-year 嘅return).然之後就聽天由命囉.If價低嘅我放多幾個%人工落去買多小小.不過我每個月都log住rate of return.依4,5年都未轉過funds.

so stupid cuz my company only allow us to put money in its own funds in 401k which all of them r not performing well. can you pick outside funds ? is your co matching ur contribution ?

我公司 has no profit sharing. is it on top of the bonus? what is ESOP ? so last year u must be making good money la. dow down again...aiya...bond fund should be doing great lately...if you r making money on your funds probably u bought international funds la.

我公司唔match 401k,但加profit sharing落去我401k喥.變相似公司contribute 401k,但 based on company’s preformance而計%,每年嘅#都唔同囉.ESOP係公司俾股份但又要放嘛去401k喥,有得睇冇得用囉.
我買domestic funds ga.幾年前都未興international funds,不過我又唔想揀過,而依家啲funds ok所以咪keep住先.

c6's compamy does not match 401K too, but it has profit sharing as socloudy, but then they also consider that as part of their year end bouns, so some of the bonus is like 有得睇冇得用too....

......huh. stock option also goes to 401 (k) ? hopefully your bonus $ dont go to 401 (k) la. ahah .j/k ..but that's good, at least they give stock option and profit sharing la. my company only gives out bonus but last yr they made so much but i dont see an increase in my bonus. :-(
