I've a silly question here. Anyone know other than the size is different, the single ingredient of the Gerber 2nd foods (e.g. applesause, pear, carrot etc) are the same as 1st foods? Thanks.

Here is the menu for Marcus.
7 oz formula @ 6:45 a.m.
Snack time in between. Usually is steamed sweet potato or gerber fruit (but he doesn't like gerber fruit anymore, 3 or 4 spoons the max and he'll turn his head.) Or mashed potato w/ cheese if he eats rice the same day. Beacuse when I make pasta for him, I'll put cheese in it.
5 to 6 oz formula @ 10 a.m.
Lunch @ 12 p.m. Either rice (thick rice not congee) or pasta (see ingredients below)
Snack time in between-usually is baby yogurt or bb cookies/crackers.
5 to 6 oz of formula @ around 4:30 a.m.
Dinner @ 7 p.m.
6 to 7 oz of formula at 9 or 9:15 a.m. and go to bed.
4 oz of water a day.
Ingredients for rice:
Either one of the followings-
a. minced pork & fish
b. minced chicken breast & fish
c. just use big piece of pork or chicken breast for soup base, no meat but fish to eat.
Plus all kinds of vegetables combination (3 to 4 kinds per cooking)-
califlower, broccoli, zuchinni, carrot, tomato, different kind of squash...plus egg yolk sometimes.
For pasta, ingredients about the same but no fish. I add 1/2 a piece of the Kraft American cheese per meal.
I think they are the same! Even Gerber 2nd food and 3rd food isn't that big of a difference when you buy certain kind. For example, Sweet potato and carrot, they are pretty much the same, may be the 3rd food is a little bit thicker, but i doubt it.

Thank you for your advise! I think one of the reasons why Marcus didn't gain much weight is because of his stomach virus. He didn't eat for several days! We do give him water in between meals. His pred. said no need to give him juice if he drinks water. I guess we'll have to give him more water!

We don't live close to China Town. I think he got the pink eye from another bb at the babysitter. She also takes care of a bb boy who is 2 months younger than Marcus. This bb had eye infection before.

BB Marcus did a new thing today. He picked up the cordless phone, put it by his left ear, and said," ah ah ah ba ba!" We thought he was cute & funny! :-P
My girl is going to be 5 months old next week, i've started to give rice cereal (1-2 spoon) for a week and so far she's eating pretty good (at least better than drinking the formula). The doctor suggested let the baby to try all kinda cereal first before introducing the baby food (veggies first then fruits) . When do you girls start solids on your baby? I remember i gave solids to my son when he was 4.5 months too but many people won't give it until their babies are 6 months old now.
I'm also living in the bay area, any stay at home moms in bay area too?

We just came from New Mexico. In this trip, bb did very well in his first flight. She read, ate snack and stood in the floor in the limit space. The flight was not full, my husband let bb sit her own seat. In the beginning, I worried bb can ok for this. My husband with bb read books and let bb saw outside view - sky. When back flight, bb slept when the flight began to fly. One night, we visited my husband's friend home over there. When friend's wife show us their house and back yard. I really missing our former house.
Another thing I want share with you gals. My husband's friend's job need go anywhere every time. And he has a wife ( from German - same as us from foreign country ) and has one 20 yr-old son. His wife may follow his friend go everywhere because his work. His job has FREE hotel ( has kitchen ) and her husband like only ride to the trip because he want saving money for house. Her wife do not go with his husband, the only reason is their two big dogs. When we chatted, she also said," 15 marriages, now is stilling marriage." she continue said," you know my husband always work outside, stay at hotel, eat at restaurant." Ride himself 5-6 hour one way. It is really lonely both of them. No one prove this marriage even though now is ok! It is keeping almost 7 yrs. And his wife kind of very casal character. Her hair is most grey and no make up with wear sport set clothing. If they sit together, it seems a old wife with young husband. If you are his wife, do you with husband in their job trip. For me, I will go with my husband except my kid need go to school and of course I need stay with my young kids. Otherwise, I will stand by my husband and take care with him. And the two big dogs, I will let them in dog care hotel or bring them together. I feel "LIFE" is a very limit. We choose our marriage because we love, live and take care together. Like this time, I also carry bb with my husband. Stand by him, he...he...
To begin breastfeed is a very tired work, but our bb can get a good nutrition. I think it is worth. I already a sleep less person before be a mom. I also lost my energy when I feed my bb in her first few months. So, I know sit moon is very important for us, but I did not eat any special during sit moon. Because my MIL said," she did not know what food for c-section. "

I read your story. I really don't understand why people did this. If me, I will have heart disease, I think I also will patient because just come here and no experience for this. But time can teach us, what thing is right and what thing need patient. Now, I am not patient for this. I will not see all this relatives. Because I think " my "LIFE" is limit and I don't want waste my time for bad people and only nice for friend just care me! So, you ADD GAS yourself and your exam coming 3/8 la...... Stand by you la...... :-P
About the class " GYMBOREE '. We took bb try one time only - gymrunner class. Can you tell me how much for one month or one semester?

It is really FREE air-ticket and bb has an own seat if the flight is no full. I saw your bb Wal-Mart photo. I like that. My bb did her first photo and first birthday photo in there too! How much you paid for others photo. I remember the staff said $20 per page. Lately, they have Easter background with 6.99 for package. However, in my area do not find Wal-Mart store. :evil:
I got your photo. Your bb is cute. 1-month-old celebrate has birthday cake - yummy.... When my bb 1-month-old, we gave her a big shower ( put the fruit skin in her bath tub ) Took her shower picture. Gave her wear a new clothing. Gave her " Red Pocket ". In fact, this is a normal thing, but special for us ( new parents ). :-P

I think my bb age almost same as both of your bb. ( 21 month-old ) Lately, my bb has emotion and she easy to cry if I reject her. ( it is hard to handle when we want go outside, special with friend ) Do you gals have same situation? How to handle??? ?-(

I go crazy la..... Tonight, I slept 10pm, but I woke up 2am ( because bb woke up). I ready the milk but she slept again. I know hard to type in the day time because bb began like to sit my computer chair ( means I don't have my private time ) So, I enter to my computer room and close the door. Now, time is 5:38am. I need sleep la.... Later I need get up 6:xxam. Good night me and good morning mommies..... :mrgreen:
