With two small kids you may want to take the bus as it can get you closer to the attractions. The Hakata Station bus terminal is located in the building right next to the train station. When you leave the station at the 博多口 side turn right and go to the end, the building in front of you is the bus terminal. Local buses leave from 1/F. There is a big Daiso (100 yen shop) on the 5/F of the bus terminal. Then merchandizes sold are of better quality than comparable shops in HK. It is a good place to get snack and drinks.

我上年7月尾去係水尾，都仲有得摘！呢家農場主人一家好好人！
我們一家7人自駕到某點迷路了，gps也找不到，我致電給農場，
他們不懂英語。於是我在街上找了一個男人，他也不懂英語，但
他帶我們進他的辦公室，用電腦翻譯英文跟我們和農場主人溝通，
期間還請我們飲罐裝果汁！最後農場派新抱來接我們，新抱下車時
拿了十幾個很大的白玉桃和黃金桃，香港買肯定過千蚊，
我以為她拿來賣給我們便算 ,原來是她要送那＂男人＂要答謝他！
然後新抱領我們到農場，她們先請我們吃桃，很香甜！我們摘了一箱，
包好付錢後，他們還送我們幾個黃金桃給我們路上吃！天呀！真的人
情味濃厚！

另外一次好人好事也是在福岡巿中心迷路，找兩個上班男問路，他帶
我們走了十多分鐘到目的地，我以為他們也是順路的，最後才知道他們是
要走回頭路上班的！他們竟然願意浪費來回半小時為我們帶路！

所以我每年都要去一次日本答謝日本人。

Dear all,

when I review my itinerary, find that I really miss 湯布院!! after read some blogs, i really want to go there. However, most of my itin and hotels are confirmed. May I ask whether i can stay one night at 湯布院 on my return from Huis Ten Borsh to Fukuoka? Is that 順路? If yes, i may try to ask my agent where i can change 1 night Nikko Hakatak to onsen hotel in 湯布院 la. also, any suggestion on the hotels in 湯布院? Kiss~

omg~~ ok if u don't mind, let me copy my itin now to u.

Day 1 - Arrive Fukuoka around 4pm, then just shop and eat around near Hakata or Canal city (stay at Nikko)

Day 2 - Get the car and then start going to Harmonyland, since my kids will stay there long, so we have to go it first and at least to stay there half more day (plan to stay as Daiwa resort Kitty room), night time maybe go to night safari but optional, depends on the timing.

Day 3 - Hea in Kitty hotel and breakfast and then drive to Aso area, e.g. Volcano or 熊本城?(stay at Aso farmland

Day 4 - Morning no plan yet (any ideas?) and then start driving to 豪斯登堡 (plan to stay in 豪斯登堡 hotel Nikko), 2 ways for driving, either take ferry from 熊本港to島原, or one way direct to Hius Ten Borsh??

Day 5 - Maybe go to 佐世堡 and start driving back to Fukuoka, if have time will go Marino Outlet? (stay at Nikko Hakata)

Day 6 - may go to 能古島?? (stay at Nikko Hakata)

Day 7 - just hanging around Hakata and then take plane back to HK

thanks, i hope so. so my schedule is very relax, without much sightseeing scene. btw, do you know whether Mt Aso is still allowing for public to visit now?

it u want to go to 湯布院 (which is clsoed to 別府 / hellokitty land), u better either skip 豪斯登堡 or 能古島.

because of long driving, skip 豪斯登堡 is better, so that u can have more time in Aso.

Advise u take a look about 能古島 by other travel blogger, see if u like this or not.
能古島 is part of 福岡 actually

Thanks, but there will be a firework competition on 28 Jul which is the night i plan to stay at Huis Ten borsh, so i don't want to miss it~~ really very very very headache on the itinerary~~~~ coz my 方向感is not good!!!!

i really need take some time sit down and read through all the maps@!!! but really very lucky this time have u all to be my 明燈, many many thanks!

Yes, you can still go to the crater but need to check right before you plan to go. You can get more information at http://www.kyusanko.co.jp/aso/index.php.

Instant monitoring of the volcano can be found in the same site at http://www.aso.ne.jp/~volcano/info.html. The crater is closed for visit at this moment but maybe it is due to darkness.

Day2：福岡→hello kitty land→九州自然動物公園 (宿別府灣)
Day3：別府→湯布院午餐→阿蘇火山/Cuddly Dominion睇亞笨亞占 (宿 ASO farmland )
Day4：阿蘇→阿蘇火山/Cuddly Dominion睇亞笨亞占→ 旁晚到豪斯登堡欣賞花火比賽*淨入場 (宿豪斯登堡)
Day5：全日以passport玩豪斯登堡阿蘇或 +鳥栖outlet→福岡 (宿福岡)
Day6：诲中中道诲濱公園&水族館 / Mariona outlet + 能古島 / 天神購物
Day6：福岡

*豪斯登堡兩天票包一天passport那種票唔知可否第ニ天才用passport！？
湯布院未必要過夜，你十時多去到行三、四個小時連午餐便可！
