I luv first markham place. The main reason is because most of the time the mall is half empty (for those owners in FMP, sorry, but it's TRUE). As a parent like me, this is a great opportunity to take my kid to that mall. The kid can run freely without too much of worrying.

Your husband work for racetrack company? You mean Horse or Car?

I go once a month. It's a good place to update your fashion sense or HK trend. Watching those teenagers dancing para-para in front of the stupid arcade is an entertainment. And not to mention, those teenagers wearing loose jeans like they need a diaper change and with bottom of their pants volunteering mopping the mall's floor whether rain or shine; or forgotton to bring their brains with them in -20 degree outthere wearing a short sleeve T-Shirt.

All those reminds me how I should teach my child.

I read your post from other thread. How can you come up such a nice name? Are you Catholic or Christian? Yesterday I had my daughter baptized. A small cermony with some close friends. She didn't cried when the water was pour on her forehead.

Which church do you go? Chinese church (Brimeley/14th or Warden/16th)? I usually go to Warden/Hwy7 or Bayview/Major Mack. Before then, I went to Bayview/Cummer.

I had been once in the Woodbine racetrack. For some reason, I never like gambling (okay, except the office Lotto pool or sometimes slot machines. But I only go for 5c slot).

Woh, in that case, we probably met. My wife & I quite soften attend those functions. Lions Clubs (female), UnitedWay, Cathy Ball and Mount Siani. The others, like Dragging Ball (oops, I mean Dragon Ball), I didn't enjoy it at all.

No wonder there are some many beauty spa ad. lately in the local chinese newspaper. Dangerfigure, May's Beauty, Jenny Wong, GoodLife @ Bayview/Hwy7.

I am quite amazed that quite alot of female would join GoodLife @ Bayview/Hwy7. The gym is located in the same building with Loblaws and it's for women and kids only. Once, my wife gave me a rolling eyes when I commented "Who needs the weight lifting there when you can just buy two bags of 20kg road salt and start run around loblaws." Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

From other thread about middle names: Actually middle name is quite useful in Canada. A friend of mine who is also chinese have three pieces of driving licenses.

Speaking of middle names, in my office there are some non asians who their ancestors are chinese.

Here are some of the co-workers's lastname:

Huie-Byfield : Her grandparents lastname is Huie (Hui). Byfield was her husband name.
LaiFang : His grandparents lastname is Lai, firstname is Fang
Li-Nygan : Her great-grandparents lastname is Li, firstname is Nygan

I was told when the chinese come to North America, the officer will register their name at the sea-port. For some reason, their ancestor misunderstood (or mis-translate) what the officer asking when the officer ask for 'Name'?!!

How can she get away from these??? The police will ask for the car insurance/car ownership documents. Does she still got three pieces for each of these???
