dear all,
some years ago (2002 ?), i remember there was a japanese cartoon series on tvb, with cantonese 配音, talking abt some good values. the story is about the housewife 阿紫 and her family and parents in law. anyone knows? any vcd ever sold?
hi, my kid attended the shiu pong nursery last year. the place is clean and ms yip is nice. but, you'd better check check the previous topic about it, before you register to it, as you will find a lot of things/stories `unexpected'.
for the kid's gallery, my kid just attended it one session, and as my hubby didn't like it at all (bad experience and feeling), we didn't continue the class there.
Thanks a lot for being so warm and thanks to your regards, 小mak is now much better, just still have a little bit cough and phlagm occasionally. and he now can go back to school lah !!
this sat morning, i will bring him to join the nursery's music class. afternoon, will bring him for swimming class.
thinking abt sun morning, either to the cornwall park, or the library better?
lok fu library seems too small and always crowded by the old uncles/aunties (they always sit inside the child's library room and read newspaper, hence no seating for me and kid ! :-( have been there one time 1 year ago)
shatin library seems quite far. but big and nice. plenty seats. very kind and helpful librarians.
kowloon central library: too busy traffic and dangerous road crossing.
car-long,
the meifoo library is VERY GOOD ! but it is quite far.
so i try 1. mongkok popular bookstore 2. kowloon bay commercial bookstor 3. kowloon central 4. kowloon tong page one 4. shatin library............
K1 application is coming. would u suggest 1. pui ching or 2. shum shui po tsung tsin or 3. kowloon city man-sang better? ?-(
littlemak,
I ordered a purple set of 'the magic box' few days ago after read your comments on the other topic...
Kian got a seat from Tsung Tsin (international class) last year but I eventually chose Kentville for him as my hubby didn't want him to take school bus. Why don't you consider the two nearby kindys? (ie Kent / St Cat)? just for crusiority...
last time i bought books from commercial bookstore, page one and popular. some are quite expensive. 1 book cost $40-$90 etc. sometimes i bought at the bookfair and the on-sales ones, may be 30-50 @. but still expensive. occasionally i found the topic at BK abt the mainland bookstore and the relevant website. the first time i went to the bookstore, i was so excited to buy (as cheap as $5 @ book !!) as 買到失控 !!
you may check check my other recommendation at that link. really good. e.g. recently found the "milly & molly" series, beautiful pictures and simple sentencesw. suitable to our kids (age 2-5).
the kenville and st catherine are good schools, but similar to the current one kln tong HKPS, so may not change lah. moreover, i don't want them to attend the pm class (a must for K2 pupils there).
i like the tsung tsin as well, as lots of ns and caring teachers. however, heard from too many people that the kinder and primary school are okay but the secondary school is not that good (just a band 2 eng school) and the school results and % to uni is not that high. do you know why? ?-(
pui ching is good but very difficulty to get in and also it is a chinese sec school.
