I read the Choice Magazine (that we shared 2 years ago here

) again about car-seat. It mentioned the "BeBe Confort" brand, which scores highest for the style that we want.

Now, I will limit my checking on these stores:
- BeBe Dream
- 0-3 Baby
- Mothercare
- Chicco

Maybe I will go to Mong Kok or Ocean Terminal once to compare the car seats from these 4 stores. I saw from online the price is around $1600-2000...

I've got the 2 big + small wheels bicycle for Rachel at Toys 'r us. She's excited to ride on it, but can't ride it alone by herself. Her legs just don't have enough strength.

There are a few categories for the car seats:
1. new born to 4 years old (18kg) - can be put forward or rear-facing, looks like a basket
2. 9kg-18kg - forward facing, looks like a basket with 5-point gears
3. 15kg+ to 11 yrs old with seat-back, this is the type that I am looking for, with seat-back to fix the seat-belt position across the neck/shoulder, which provides more protection
4. 15kg+ to 11 yrs old without seat-back, this is the most handy one, costs about $200-400, just the hip-seat cushion, I think this one fits elder kid, but for AliBB who will move inside the car, better to use type #3...
5. etc....

I've came across a type 3 at Chicco before, suitable for kids from age 1-11, made in italy, $1,7xx with 10% discount if pay by major credit cards, maybe you can take a look.

各位想買car seat嘅媽咪,
我個多月前已經換咗個大仔car seat (可以坐到11歲)比亞女，因為舊嗰個已經好迫，同埋只能坐到18kg。我覺得個car seat 都幾好，佢有個伸得幾出嘅頸枕，亞女瞓覺時個頭都無中出黎，價錢又ok$799，又唔太大，我喺海怡半島嗰願頭買嘅，好似中環都有間，nn就係我地之前個car seat 同一牌子B字頭嘅(我唔記得點串)，我仲買咗一個野cool住條安全帶咁就唔會cool倒一亞女條頸tim(百幾蚊)，你地可以去睇下。唯一一個缺點係個car seat矮咗，亞女睇街無睇得咁清楚。

Long time no talk!! How are you? My maid always asked me why she could not meet yoyo since this summer... esp. no news from you after your UK trip! How are you? How about going to OC again together in early 2007?

Yesterday, AliBB met some other BK friends in art center, I was talking to my maid about who's the tallest in the room, my maid said "if yoyo was here, she should be the tallest and the biggest..." :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I finally arranged a trial lesson with Ms Panda some time in 2007, hope AliBB will like it...

How's yoyo's lesson in CWB? Did she change to KB2 or keep it as MK2? Which class is she attending? Maybe I could change my MK's class to be the same as yours! I just went to CWB for it's sales, as I like the pink school bag very very much, I made it to get the last one from the center!!

Hey, this is my guess:

Some findings here:
- Chicco - 2 types, the old model is about $16XX, but only the head-set can be moved and not the shoulder part, so, not recommend, and the sales said this model does not have much room for bigger kids to move when compared to it's new Key-3 model. For the new model Key-3, about $2298, very comfortable, and both the head-set and the shoulder part can be adjusted.

- 0/3 Baby - the Maxi Cosi Rodi XP model is about $1490. Material is good, but only the head-set can be adjusted but not the shoulder part...

- BeBe Dream - the BeBeConfort brand Hippo Safe Side model is about $1899, score highest in the Choice Magazine 3 years ago, but I tried it, it is not as "strong" and "comfortable" as those new models like 0/3 Baby's Rodi XP and Chicco's Key-3 model, not recommend...

- Mothercare - the ocean terminal's store does not have much choice... also carried the Maxi Cosi Rodi XP model... same as 0/3 baby.

(Canny, Mothercare's Britax models are all for younger babies, don't think they have the 15-36kg type.. Britax's offical website shows this model for 15-36 kg, the model name is Monarch... http://www.britaxusa.net/pdf/info_monarch.pdf)

So, my ranking now is:
1. Chicco's $22XX new Key-3 model
2. 0/3 baby's $14XX XP model (don't like the shoulder part which could not be adjusted with the head-set...)

My hubby prefers Chicco... so, might get this one at the end......
