wingsze, i share the same view as yours. i want him to try small boy first. but my first choice of primary sch seldom accept small boy. i totally agree with you re: golden pig effect, more competition in terms of admission.

sorry, swongsk. i guess it's rather difficult becoz last time is a v. special offer to a v. freq. visit member. the shop may not be too interested to organize similar event if @ of us simply pay the $80 admission fee for the session.

we may consider joining the session together (i.e. not booking the room).

not v. keen on doing that becoz i m a v. lazy mum.

will ve a bd party cum christmas party w/ fds in my previous living place. it's a "tradition" every yr to ve the christmas party n one of my fds will give birth in late Dec, thus, we design to ve a cum party to save ppl's trip (quite a no. of neighbours r now becoming "alumni", moved out already)

swongsk, i guess venue is one of the headache issues as it's not so easy to find venue in Dec.

not lazy la, bakusensei, you are one of the most resourceful mom that i've ever seen ar!!!<br /><br />at the beginning i was going to do a little tea party at home inviting my closest friends with kids maybe 8-10 kids. didn't realize i need to multiply by 3 ie turns out 30 -40 people!!! cos baby + mommy (+ daddy) + maid. so scary!! my flat cannot accomodate so many people. now have to find a venue & u r so right, december is so difficult!!!<br /><br />now i'm worried the kids will get bored, thinking of getting some toys from toysrus etc. party favours for kids to take home!!!!????!!!!

As our bbs' b'day the same, i've started planning for that too...
before we plan to book the club hse ... but suddenly my 62 said it's their tradition to have a banquet for bb at one.. so now we are searching for the restaurant instead...
how old are the kids u invited? programs will largely depend on their age.

ok, went to sham shui po today & checked out the wholesale shop. got the party favours sorted out. it's so cheap there & lots of variety. recommend to check there 1st before buying from retail. save $$

also attended the school tour of casa dei bambini (a mon pre-school). the owner gave us a tour & a talk on the school. v nice school, but not sure if i want to opt for mon yet.
