i personally won't try to introduce to many at this stage. maybe just focus on english, mandarin & cantonese first lor.

m a little worried. u see a lot of bbs who will follow your instructions eg if you say "ching ching" or clap clap they will follow. but my baby will turn away & do his own thing. but if he's in a good mood, he will do ching ching himself & want you to do it with him.

don't think he will pass any of the interviews!!!

husband thinks it's better to focus on english, mandarin n cantonese first. thus, won't consider french n spanish in the meantime.

that's also what we plan for our baby...
but just want to know whether baby can really learn french/spanish etc if he is only exposed to that language for 1-2 hr per week... i remember u have a friend whose daughter studies french, right?? can u pls share?

three fds' kids r studying french.
- one of them's (2 yr old) parent knows french too.
- the mum of another (6yr old) gives practice to the kid too. (she said she is also learning together w/ the kid)
- another (the kid is around 10) did nothing.

my two "mixed" cousins speak fluent french n german n quite gd spanish. they learnt them in the int'l schools they studied when they were still in hk and also after going back to UK. my aunt (dad's sister) knows german only (among these three language). sometimes will practice german at home w/ them. but though no practice of french at home, they didn't face any problem in it. one of them's undergraduate degree is int'l business and french, w 1 yr spending in france learning int'l business.

another (the kid is around 10) did nothing <-- may i know the progress of studying french of this kid? coz i wonder if they can learn with no practice... but i'm not sure if the learning power of kids would be different from adults.

so far, heard he's ok.

he's learning it in his school. he's studying in a private primary school. one of the extra-curricular activities provided by the school is french lesson.

hi hi

my son just had his 1st bday party yesterday..... wow, so tired now. it reminded me of my wedding, entertaining guests, picture taken etc. i think all the kids had a great time with the inflatable toys (thanks to my friend being a kind sponsor). didn't know bubbles is a killer, the kids loved the bubble machine we got from toy'rus.

didn't take too many pix (too busy).... so glad that i passed my camera to my maid, she managed to take a few.

how about you guys? i suggest you take a day off after the party, it's just too tired. when i got up this morning i thought it's sunday, too bad it's MONDAY!!!

though we didn't have such a large-scaled party for baby, we had a good time and felt tired today...
baby still not understand the meaning of birthday even he got lots of gifts from relatives. but same as what i predicted, baby was scared with the noisy environment... hope he can be more brave as he gets older... haha...

we had a mini bouncy castle & inflatable airplane -good for toddlers eg age:3-4) & ball ball pool -good for 12-18 mths). i also brought along my tunnel, it's like a playroom....

good to hear that bb enjoyed a lot.
momo's party was great. i got a ball ball pool for bb. they got a lot of fun there. at first, i plan to rent a mini bouncy castle but i'm afraid momo maybe too small to play inside. sure will get it next year! :)
food was good and the helium balloons were good too.
i myself was quite satisfied w/ the arrangement! hahahah

i bought a "1st bd" big helium balloon. when the balloon arrived, it was a bit flat. i thought it will be better after taking it out from the bag. however, 2 hours later, the gas started coming out from that balloon. it became quite "flat".

i called peggy immediately. luckily, she can help me to get a new one. i think their service is excellent!
maybe all the little guests are young children. they were happy to play w/ the helium balloons and get one as a gift at the end too. :)
