明白.
其實d係量度LH surge. Ovulation occur after after LH surge.
正常黎講, 身体會係卵泡大到一定既size (eg. 18-20mm) 同成熟時完會LH surge. 所以LH surge 可以predict ovulation.
不過有d情況就唔係,以我為例,次次d follicle 得14-15mm時,就LH surge. 所以d egg 根本末mature. 後來做ivf, 醫生幫我打藥,壓低d LH, 咁d follicle 先有机會長到 19mm.(如果唔係14mm時己經排左卵). 到醫生見d follicle 長到19mm時, 就幫我打LH, 咁佢就會排卵.
你可同你Dr.研究下,睇下點可以幫到你.

最起碼我而家知道什麼原因可以試吓用d方法去醫. 我想問你意見, 好唔好等八月去見董e生做iui先至一拼處理呢個問題呢? 因為而家我都係睇緊我個中ec.

仲有一個多月就八月啦,到時董醫生會同你再詳細分析ga la..
放心啦,董醫生到時一定會搵倒個solution 比你.

About this cycle, my IUI treatment is called off deal to the irregular sizes of my eggs. My day 15 u/s showed left 2 x 13mm, right 2x13mm (was 3 eggs last time). So dr Tung suspected 1 egg on right side already ovulated... to save time, energy & $$$, she told me to try naturally this time.

I wonder why the existing eggs could grow so consistant but slowly, the other one just disappeared or ovulated?

Although I was dissappointed, but I thank her for caring. She is not like most of my other dr just go ahead to complete the procedure without caring the success rates.

Dr Tung also told me that according to my physical condition, she will try natural IUI without medication... just working with 1 egg at the time... (but i like to have twice

)

Dear babylulu,

Sorry to her your results. Did Dr. Tung test your blood when the follicles grow to certain size about, 15 or 16 mm? The blood will tell your the LH level and about when the follicle will release the egg. At that point, the doctor should give you an injection to prevent the egg from ovulation. Stimulation will continue to help to the smaller ones continue to grow, until the biggest reaches about 18 or 19 mm. Then the 'trigger shot" will be given at that point. Was your procedure like that? Hope you still succeed this IUI cycle.

Hi Frisbe,

You are right, about the shot to hold up the egg release, I did have that in my last ivf, dr tung did give it to me as the feeling was very strange after the injection, my belly was a bit itchy and had the burning feel...

Yeah, I tried two different kinds of antagonists (to prevent ovulation). Dr. Leong's nurse told me that it depends of the results of my blood work at that time, LH and E2, to determine which one would be used. One comes in the syringe already and the other one is in a vial. The one in the syringe is rather painful/ichey. I throw away the bottle and I did not get the names of the two medications.

Hi Frisbe & YimYee,

Thanks for the detailed info. I will keep them in mind for my future treatment.

Dr Tung just asked me to go home and try ourselves without further medications.

She also mentioned about what you suggested, but only for IVF.

Dear babylulu,

I had 2 IUI with Dr. Philip Ho and 1 IUI with Dr. Milton Leong.
They both use the suppression medication to prevent ovulation while continue to stimulate. I am surprised that Dr. Tung did not do that for you. Actually, there is no difference in the principles for IUI and IVF. The only difference is that IUI limits to about 3 eggs to prevent multiple pregnancy and IVF can have as many eggs as possible because the extra ones can be frozen.

Did you ec tell you which day of your cycle to do the U/Scan? Why did your ec ask you to do that? What does he / she want to know???

Hi Frisbe,

All my previous IUIs with 2 private dr & 3 with public nurses I did not use any suppression drugs. I guess this time dr Tung didn't use it because I had total of 5 eggs & other small ones showed in my ovaries. And from my previous IUIs, I only had 2 or max 3 eggs showed in u/s. I guess she just wanted to prevent me to get pregnant with so many eggs .... I guess.

Anyway, I will ask her next time if I could use the suppression drug. But according to the last visit, she told me I better use no medication & just work with 1 egg for the coming IUI (maybe she just gave me a break fromt he meds without giving up that month).

I am not giving up my current cycle, as I try to relax myself as much as possible in my 2ww (although first 1ww I was super busy with relocation and lots of heavy liftings)

Now we are living in the hotel, I can basically do nothing and wait for the test day to come.

ec話要觀察egg size的生長進度，待egg size 夠大時，~22mm，就可打排卵針，後行埋，就很大機會bingo了。大約m後5天開照，隔天照三次。

仁安照係350/次, 係我銅鑼灣個e生度照係300蚊次. 其實都係差唔多, 我唔係隔日照, 唔知隔日照會唔會有優惠.

I have taken DHEA 2 months. At the same time, I also see Central Sum EC (with medicine and acupunture and 花膠). Unfortunelately, I found 1pc 2.3cm hole (朱古力瘤 OR 水瘤) in my left ovary by ultra sound yesterday. I believe it grows within this 2 months. Due to there is nothing in checking on IVF (End of April). In 2006, I have 5cm 朱古力瘤 and took the operation. Did you know if DHEA make 朱古力瘤 ?
