契媽, I think so because when Tiffany talks in her dream, she speaks in English.
Michelle, Tiffany cannot utter the sounds of 'k' and 'g' very well. I know that a lot of other kids of her age can say the word "good' very clearly. So I took her to see the speech therapist. Indeed, that speech therapist is my friend who works in a government assessment centre. Since it is a government one, we only need to pay a registration fee of $100. The test is a very detailed one which lasts for almost 2 hours. The result is being not able to produce 'k' and 'g' sound is OK but her Chinese level is low.
Eve>> My Tiffany also talks in English when she dreams She has lazy lips, so she can hardly pronounce sounds like "sh" & "w" etc accurately. I don't know whether I should bring her to a speech therapist for assessment to re-confirm my "diagnosis" ?-(
Wendy>> Can you tell us how you guide Jaykan in learning Chinese? It would be nice for us to learn from your sharing
