Hi Sandy,

You are feeding Hayhay quite often. I think I should do the same to boost my son's weight

He is VERY active and could walk all day if I have the energy to hold his arm. He even wouldn't sit down to let me bath him

I read somewhere that a baby in this age group should sleep around12-14 hrs. Like everything else with a baby, if HayHay is healthy and happy, I think you don't need to worry about him not getting enough sleep.

All mom,
It's almost impossible to change my baby's diaper now as he keeps turning over. Sometimes it's ok with a toy on hand but sometimes I give up and have to do it with him standing up

Can't imagine when he starts crawling...

My baby's feeding and sleeping schedule is like this:

8:00 BF + pump
10:30 fruit or biscuit
11:30 nap (1 to 1.5 hr)
1:00 6oz bmilk + cereal + veggie
4:00 BF then nap (1 to 2 hr)
7:45 BF
8:30 Bath
9:00

I'll try to replace the 10:30 snack to congee next week. Hope he will eat it this time. Last time I gave congee to my son, he didn't eat it until I added cheese cereal in it.

To quit BF or not...still struggling

You can BF your baby at 4:00? So you are a full time mum then? Really Envy you and your baby...

Yes, I'm currently a full time mom. I got pregnant 2 months after I lost my job. Since I read that the first year is very important for baby, I decided to be a stay-home mother and start looking for work after my son reaches 1

I don't think I can BF my son for so long otherwise. Except in the morning, I can't pump a lot. So I think you working moms are doing amazingly well to keep BF for such a long time.

Harry Potter? Hehe...I like the book a lot before the movie came out. I hope my son will enjoy reading as much as I do.

I just finished re-reading the book five again, refreshing my memory and really looking forward to the coming book

Yes, it's very difficult to change and bath hayhay now..... we usually change his diaper in his cot or on the floor and must give hayhay a toy to distract his attention. Sometimes we also have to change his diaper when he's crawling or standing..... so messy when he boo. He also moves a lot and want to stand when we bath him and so, my maid will play with him and I bath him as fast as we can lor......

Maybe boys are more active. I don't have problems in bathing and changing diapers. And she knows to rise her feet when we change her diapers. . .

Xavier's pat pat when he kept rolling over. I think I'll go mad if he crawls.

Do you have some bathtoys that can keep him stable a bit for the bath? Although my son stands up a lot during the bath, I can still give him a bath by myself as he will play with the toy. Of course he'll add to my challenge and keep turning on his feet

I think I'll just wait until the coming Harry Potter is available in bookstore as I still have few books waiting on the bookshelf. Haven't even had time to read the Da Vinci Code as I have to finish the Doman book first (just finished today). My baby comes first now...

Has Hoi Ching know how to crawl yet? My son only turns 360 degrees but has lost interest in crawling as he likes walking around. So always complain when he's left alone and ask people to walk him

It's the same case for Hoi CHing as to Xavier. She likes walking so much that she always grap hands nearby, stand up, then walk. She is however, still afriad of being offered only one hand

Hi Laputa & other ma,

Laputa, you're always responsive.

I found the similar challenge from my baby in bath and changing diaper as yours. And my baby like crawl around, I always need to keep an eye on her. She likes throwing our CD and searching anything she can reach. It's really hard to handle her than she is in 6 months.

Also, my baby wakes up so early at 5 to 6 am everyday and sleep little in daytime.

Yes, I am so addicted to BabyKingdom that I find myself sometime obsessive, though still miles away from those moms in the 8th month Crazy mother club.

CDs - are they favourite of little babies? Hoi Ching's one of favourite activities is to put all the CD out from the rack.

Happy Mother's Day!

Can't believe my baby is already 9 months old! I am still bf her. I am planning to wean her soon... but I am not determined enough... I have given her formula, but she doesn't like it at all, just push it away.

Right now, she is eating 2 meals of cereal and around 5 times of breastmilk.

Hi all,

How's your first Mother's Day?

For me, it's a memorable mother's day..... coz Hayhay is so naughty than before yesterday. He gave me a hard bite on my hand (thanks that not on the nipple) and just shouted and cried all the day to get our attention, particularly when we're in the restaurant. Anyway, I celebrate with my mum and grandmum and the feeling is good.

I have stopped pumping during lunch in the office since last week and now can only pump 4-5 oz in total per day (morning and after work). I struggled for a few weeks on this decision as recently I can only pump about 1 oz during lunch. Now, I am happy to have lunch with my colleagues, can wear one piece dress and don't need to take a large bag to work

However, as Hayhay is indifferent for mama milk, formula and solid (as long as he gets food when he's hungry), he did not take much mama milk when I fed him if he's not hungry....... I'm worry that I'll have less and less milk....... I like the relationship and hope can breastfeed him longer........

Poohpoohma, I remembered you're a full time mama? Why you plan to wean your BB? She's so lucky to have all mama milk (sometimes I feel sorry for cannot give hayhay all mama milk :cry: )

What I conincidence. I also stopped pumping during luch last week. I now pump 2 times a day, each have around 4-5 oz. I am also trying to introduce formula milk to Hoi Ching, coz I will have some trips later on and therefore I have to make sure she is ok with those formula. I am also very happy as I don't need to wear those nursing bar during the day, and say buy buy to the large bag!!

Chatting & connection is important to mother as a stress reduction process, agree? So, I think bk is a nice place allow us to do so.

Actually, I just breastfeed my BB in the moring & before sleep. No lunch time pump milk for a month la. So free....

What's your baby's sleeping pattern?

I've finished to feed Joshua mama milk for nearly 1 month... and I've

to the large bag for pumping milk for 2 months already...

I understand that the tranfer period (mama milk -> formula -> solid food) is not easy for bb at all... but for me, thanks God that Joshua is a 為食b and so he can adopt the new feeding pattern with not many problems...

Add oil, those BF moms, although I'm no longer Bf Joshua ... I'm still be on your side...

I have 1 year maternity leave, so I will be back to work in August. It's time to wean my baby now. I plan to bf her at night and early morning, give her formula in afternoon.

Hi all bf mom,

My milk supply is also decrease...as I could only pump around 2 oz after bf my baby... and i don't feel "谷奶" even i come back after work. So strange.. But my baby do only drink my milk and don't like congee or rice cereal.. but so far he gain weight quite good.. so let him...

Next month, i need to have placement and afraid that i could not pump milk easily.. so frustrated... as i may need to add 1 meal of formula to him.. really want to bf him till his 1-year birthday.. Hope i could do that
